All I wanted was ONE piece that would make me feel good. Instead, it's two that are kinda sorta ok and one I'm highly skeptical of. Pick is a pick, good to have, never felt it was necessarily necessary given the other pieces.
Edit: AND we gave up pieces the other way.

It boils down to Anisimov's vs. Miller + McIlrath/Thomas, if I remember right.
Anisimov definitely helps now. Who knows what Miller or the other guy might amount too.
While I'm not crazy about this deal, I'm not convinced it is worse than the other rumored offer.
I would add that 1st in 2013 (I am assuming you guys are getting it) >>>> a late 1st in 2012 (I am assuming that was the pick in the Rangers trade deadline offer).
It's not impossible the Rangers 1st in 2013 could be 20-22nd overall since the order is based on playoff results.
With potentially 4 picks in the top 35 of the 2013 draft, the CBJ are in a position to control it.

Howson obviously isn't done. We have 10 NHL quality defenseman. Bobby Ryan anyone?
Yeah, I don't know about Bobby Ryan but this feels like preparation for another deal down the line. We really don't have a single top line forward on the team as of right now. It's Brassard and some potential.
We knew that something like this was going to happen on the move. What I was curious about was Howson was going to address the next move.
This trade isn't so bad for you guys. I know Nash was your guy, but he wasn't all that. Given the factors that detracted from his value, I think you did all right.
