Matt Lashoff

What's Matt's value these days ? Few years ago he was a intriguing prospect, is that the same these days or is he going to be a AHL player only ??

His value is higher as a guitar player than hockey player. If he cared as much about hockey as his band he would have been far more successful in North America than he was, atleast that was the thought in the Lightning orginization.

He was a solid AHL defenseman last year. Money must've been better in Europe.

Was a very serviceable call-up for the Leafs in 2010-11.

He just had a child this past spring. I can't imagine he'd want to go over to Europe at the moment, though I suppose if that's where the money is best, it could be worth it.

Was one of the Marlies best D but got a knee injury 9 games into the season and didn't come back until mid way through the playoffs. If he does stay in North America he would be a top pair AHL Dman or a 6-7 in the NHL for now.

At most he projects as a depth defenceman.

Lashoff himself tweeted hes not going overseas

Asside from this, hes a good defenseman with some grit. He could be an NHLer if he worked on his footspeed and explosiveness. Good project that can still end up being a full time NHL player. #garyRobertsProject

Yes, potentially, he's not quite there yet though.

I would be shocked if he ever received a regular role in the NHL, even if that regular role was a healthy scratch as the 7th defenseman.
