at least the Rangers will be a "different" team this season, hopefully we can find a way to beat them for christs sake..

lasts years games against them were painful to watch Lavi' bang his head against a wall and make NO adjustments at all..

Sucks to see the Rangers only have to trade a few VERY expendable pieces. Howson blew this one.

Plus I bet Erixon demands a trade back to NY in 6 months to play on Daddy's old team and Howson obliges by trading him for their own 3rd round pick back.

I agree 100%. I still don't know how you ask for the moon and get nothing back for a star player that you don't really need to trade. I guess that's what happens when you ask for too much and balk at any decent offers. I want his job, I could easily drive that franchise into the ground twice as fast if given a chance.

You know the old saying. You gotta strike when the iron is freezing cold.

Erixon better turn out to be the next Lidstom.

I don't think CLB got a good return but when I compare it to what the Flyers have I don't think the Flyers have on their roster w/o gutting it.

Voracek > Dub
AA = Read
Erixon = ? ... no one in the Flyer's system.

Obviously Krieder and Mcdonagh were off the table, but for Howson not to get one of Hagelin, Stepan, Girardi, or even Boyle is terrible. Nash may not have a great contract, but that trade will be Howson's final nail in the coffin in my opinion.

I really don't know why the Rangers were so obsessed with getting Nash in the first place though. They were going to be fine offensively anyway, but this may hamper them when some of their younger players are up for extensions later on.

howson is ridiculously bad. they should've immediately announced his termination after they announced the trade.

So what is up with Pitt...they clear all that space and nobody wants to play there..lol.

Maybe Semin or Ryan go there but it would be great if they are left with their junk in their hand

Maybe after gooning it up last year, it left a bad taste in the mouth of the players watching the disrespect between peers?
