Not true we have 3.5 mil in cap space and adding gomez for jbo is only another million. I don't want gomez at all but I want him more than kaberle.
I should of been more clear, I wasn't meaning from a cap standpoint. But it makes absolutely no sense to add a centre like Gomez on our roster when we already have Stajan. We could potentially end up having both those guys on the Heat and there is no way the owners would agree to that.
While its logistically doable, it is a horrible idea to have both those guys on our roster at the same time. And I fully acknowledge that you are not endorsing that we do that either!

During his best years it was Hamrlik, he was great at feeding him one timers. But if your suggesting trying to add Hamrlik, it may not work out. We tried reuniting Regehr and Leopold several years later and well, 2nd time is not always a charm.

I'd say that's a decent deal. Especially if they don't match webers offer. This way they keep the first four round picks they are getting and get a good defenceman to help offset the loss of weber. They also 2 bottom 9 players with promise and a decent 5/6 defenceman who could help on the power play.
Nashville would have to at least consider although I think they could fetch a better deal with those players + on of those first round picks. And they may not even want to trade Wilson or Blum, as they are promising pieces to the organization that is slowly losing it's best peices
