I'm having a tough time thinking of a star player who was buried on a team as long as Nash. As good as his attitude might have been, losing drags you down. I'm really excited about his potential. Stats almost never tell the whole story (exhibit #1 - Alexander Semin)
Re: Doan...the challenge to the Glendale lease is officially over. The petition was rejected and the guys trying to block the lease couldn't find a local law firm willing to go to court. Now it's up to Greg Jamison. Either he shows up with his ownership group (or someone miraculously comes out of the woodwork) and signs the lease or it's all over here. If that's the case, I absolutely see him as a Ranger next year.
How long does he have to sign the lease? Basically, how long until Doan knows whether he'll be a Coyote or not?

Excluding his rookie season 5 of 8 seasons he had under 300 shots. Where does this he needs 300 shots to score 30 come from? Based off 2 seasons? The other year he had 329 but scored 38 goals.
I still don't see your point on shots when he has shown he doesn't need 300 shots to score 30 goals. He has done it before.
haha yeah, his last two seasons which are the most relevant...?
No going back to the future 5 years for crying out loud.

Was Gaborik's 2010-2011 season "relevant" as well? For crying out loud, he should never have been able to score 41 last year. His previous year's stats shouldn't allow for it! How dare he!

How are they the most relevant? It is the two years in which the CLB have done the worst. When you have no support, no one to pass to who can score, and no who can pass you the puck, you try to do it all your self. You ignore the fact that his two most successful years are the years in which he took the least shots.
The year CLB made the playoffs he took few 260ish shots and scored 40. By subscribing to your theory this shouldn't be possible.

The NHL extension to Glendale to close the deal currently runs through July 31st. If there's not a deal done (or reasonably close) by then, I believe the team could be moved at any time. The potential owners have to meet terms of the lease but there are no legal hurdles stopping them and the city executing the lease.
What's most troubling is that there's not been a public peep from Jamison's group. That of course could change any day but it's been very quiet here. Scary quiet.
I think Shane continues to do his due dilliegence and bides his time until the end of the month at a minimum. He's the kind of player there will always be a market for. Only rush for him is getting kids registered for school.

He missed 20 games
...and 3rd worst shooting percentage of his career.

Steady decline in shooting percentage since a peak in that 2008-2009 playoff season(T-2nd best in career)? And a career high ATOI.
Anisimov is just someone you cant dislike. He played hard with emotion, still has the potential to do more. Both were classy players though it seems to be the trend of that ranger group last season which is why so many of us are still so connected to them. But it was too fair of a price to pass up on.
RB do you have the other tweets at dubinsky from earlier by ranger teammates? It might have been only one more other than lundqvist.
