So what you are saying is that you would have choose Galchenyuk over Yakupov after their rookie season in the ohl ?

With the hype that he has coming into camp, I wouldn't be surprised if it was somewhere around $5 000 000.

Kidding, of course.

Anyways... it's was a pretty obvious signing, but is there anybody else out there who thinks that this (as well as other signings) are an indication that the 5-year ELC thing will never pass?
I was thinking it's the agents making sure that if the 5-year ELC goes in, the will have gotten their clients an extra contract.

when i went to Brossard to see the Habs training camp, Galchy was a huge Notch over every other player on the ice.
if he does great in the pre season games he will make the team, im not even worried.
I was actually really surprised he was that good when i saw him play, and i've already seen Louis Leblanc, Pacioretty and Pk Subban play when they first started.
I can easily say that hes wayyyy better then all three when they first started with
the habs.

I also thought that he wouldn't be ready but once
i saw him play, it made me completely change my opinion lolll

Happens all the time.

Needs another year in Sarnia, but he's going to be a stud.

Yes. Especially since he was the more dominant but he just needed the second season to prove it. Russians\european trained platers usually seem better at first, but over time they come back down to earth. This is strictly ohl I'm talking about btw. Look at yakupovs regression this season without galchenyuk. Plus even if you rate them
As even, you always should take the playmaking center over the goal scoring winger. IMO gal made yak look better not the other way around.

I'm not sold on him being able to play this season. He should get another season in sarnia, but yak leaving I don't know. It's an iffy situation.

How is Sarnia looking this year? Could they possibly trade him to a contender?

Yakupov certainly slowed down after his injury but he still posted higher PPG than his previous season with Galchenyuk. I havnt seen much of Galchenyuk so I wont comment on his upside but I have really no idea what you are meaning by european players coming back to earth after their first season it's almost always the other way around.
