I think SK could be a Pred until retirement. His next contract should be the big payoff for him. If I was SK, I would've tried to get more now with the cba changing. Oh well. SK deserves this contract and more, imo. Either way I get to enjoy watching this guy who was just about out of options in the big league and here he is doing a-ok with us. Poile swung and connected on this one. Way to go Sergei!

Just read his full interview to Belarussian newspaper, will post translation later if needed...

Few interesting things... Not about AK.

Considering few of us can understand the language, would really appreciate a translation, maybe not the whole thing as it's a lot of work but at least what you think the most important parts are.

I couldn't help but notice that he mentions that Weber tried to get ARad and Akost off with just a fine but the coaching staff wouldn't have any of it. Hmmm... I also like how he said he likes Nashville and doesn't really like change and hopes he can stay here and that he even got him a place in the suburbs. Good interview.

Despite myself being disgruntled with his postseason play, he's really gelled into this team well in terms of personality and style of play. Good to see him back and at a reasonable price tag.

When the $250 max first fine for violation of team rules, to include a curfew, there isn't really much of a punishment with that route.

You know, if SK's interpretation of the Rads/AK thing is accurate and Webs didn't think they should be suspended, you gotta' wonder how many other things like this have happened - where our leadership disagrees with the overall approach of our management? If more, you gotta' wonder how it plays a part in how the dynamic duo approached their contracts and our overall "reputation".

As for SK - glad to have him around for the season, hoping we see improved productivity for the POs. Solid value on both sides, I think, given the market.

HA. Did he really say that Pierre McGuire ratted them out? If so, that's hilarious.

Not by name, but he said the reporter between the benches did even though he knew they weren't drinking, only eating.

I guess you can deduce this wasn't the first time they were late for a team function. or a second or a third or a fourth or a fifth or a sixth etc

All of the Weber/Poile talk has been moved to the Poile thread. How about we keep threads on topic now rather than ignoring a moderator who says basically that? Thanks.

If SK was so concerned with AK being unfairly punished, why was he re-signed so easily? He knows that Andrei broke the rules, his quotes were pretty much right after the incident and in a Russian paper. I'm pretty sure he understands what happened and why Andrei won't be back, but he enjoys playing here and was probably happy to get this contract.

IMO, SK has proven he doesn't belong on the top 6 on a contending team. He's a slight step above Andreas Johansson IMO.

His compete level varies from game to game, and I expect it to be even worse after signing a 2 year contract. He has been utter crap for us in the playoffs.

Keep doing the same thing and expect the same results.

That's not saying much. Not to mention totally disappearing the last 20 games of the season/playoffs and his wavering effort. And lsat year's disappearing act.

Guy doesn't belong in the top 6 of a contending team.

I think he is a respectable 2nd line winger. No way he should be on the first, for sure.
