Great news! Would like to see him make an impact at the nhl level next season but its definitely better for him to stay in Sarnia and rack up huge minutes. Bring on 2013-2014

One more season at Sarnia (juniors).
And then...40 games or more in AHL.

He'll be 20 or 21 when he plays full-time in the NHL.
So, he'll only get that 1mil/year (NHL salary) in the 3rd year of this contract. And maybe he'll get some NHL salary in the 2nd year of this contract. For now it's junior money and then AHL salary
($50 000 to $100 000/year?).

(can't wait but better to wait a bit for his development).

So he got the max for base salary with 925K. I imagine with the bonuses it's gonna be around 3,25M but I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting the max like Yakupov (3,775M).

I get the 1 year in juniors because of injury. After that it's just stupid.

Like I said, there's no disadvantage to giving him a shot in the majors for 9 games.

If he's impressive, I can see the forward lines looking something like this

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Cole
Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Bourque
Moen - Eller - Gionta
Prust - Nokelainen - Armstrong

I guess Gomez has to go somewhere though, and White will be up there as a spare...

IMO Galchenyuk/Nokelainen will be out, Gomez/White will be in. No need to rush the kid, his development level is that of someone who won't even be drafted for another year
