I get to the gym 3 times a week, but it's more of a supplement than my main source of exercise. Both my house and gym back up to the W & OD trail, so I'll run or bike there, lift weights, and head home. I love exercising outdoors, I run and bike twice a week each. I basically have a gym membership for lifting weights, and exercising when it rains/or is the middle of winter.
If you don't like the gym atmosphere(which is...interesting...), Planet Fitness IS the gym you want to go to. You'll be surrounded with a lot more people "like you" than you will at a more expensive gym. More expensive = people who like to be in shape. You also don't want to be "that guy" at the nice gym who clearly looks like they don't belong.
Personally, I like being the reverse "that guy" at Planet Fitness. Scowling at people who use the smith machines like monkey bars, laughing at the morons who can't figure out a cable pulldown machine and bumping into people who just stand there watching TV for extended periods of time. That and it's the only place within 5 miles that's open when I workout at 5AM.
I almost think you're kidding. Anyway, I go to Planet Fitness when I'm at school. It's horrible. Between semesters last year, they up and removed...everything. All the spots to bench press, gone; squats, gone; preacher curl thing, gone; all free-weight bars, gone. Etc. They now just have 3 or 4 of those machines where the bar is attached to the frame of the machine and slides up and down, so if you want to bench, squat, anything, you have to use those awful things. And I have to wait for pretty much everything and every weight. I couldn't care less if I'm less jacked than most of the d00ds at Gold's.

That's all.
Is that because it describes you so well? I think you finally found something to use for the C in your acrostic.

They are called Smith Machines, brah. And, yea it sucks to bench on them
I'm not saying it's best for meeeeee(a number of the machines literally don't have enough weight on them for my max sets...feelsbadman.), I'm saying it's best for someone who doesn't like the gym "atmosphere"(lol) because it's focused around people who are "intimidated" by real gyms.
Like I said, when I go at 5AM, it works for me because there is no one there and a few of the few that are there, are serious about working out because...well, they are there at 5AM too.
Your college not have a gym or something? University of Phoenix? Why you stuck at the Playground Foradults?

It was closed for renovations for like a year and a half...should be open this year. And the $10/month thing is what's kept me going. My school gym isn't free anyway...smh public schools.
I guess other NY state schools have free gyms, actually. My school supposedly wants to turn private, so I guess their first step is to dick people over on gym charges.

Makes sense. Proximity to PA makes me feel bad for you though, son.
Own a gym and want to know a way to not get my business? Give me the, "why don't you come on in and take a look and we'll talk" shpeel when I ask how much monthly dues are over the phone. It's like, yo assclown, I've worked out in close to a hundred gyms in my lifetime, what you have will probably not come close to even the top 20% of them, just tell me how much you charge a month.
The most famous alumni of one is probably Kevin Sorbo...
feelsbadman.
Just did the same for my college, Salisbury U. Notable alum's:
Frank Purdue
Steve Bisciotti
Mike Seidel - Weather Channel
Byron Westbrook
Some actor from the show Chuck I"ve never heard of
And a crap load of MD state delgates that I guess are notable in their own minds.
Does it infuriate the **** out of anyone else when people substitute "draw" for "drawer"? I had heard people say it that way and assumed it was just a pronunciation. Apparently people actually write the word "draw" in its place.
I bought some episodes of Breaking Bad. Waste of money. Its a great sleep aid though I guess.
Then again I am in the minority, but it reminds me of the boringness of Drive and some how that movie was rated so highly even though it literally has no ****ing story line.
