If we don't get weber out of this, It will be such a cruel turn of events. I mean this move right here can literally define the franchises success for the next 5-7 years.
Not to mention the sinking feeling that I have that if Nashville matches, Homer's going to go out and make a dumb trade for Bobby Ryan.

Really the only dumb moves Homer can make at this point is trading away couturier and Schenn, which he won't do according to what we know about he Weber trade rumors.
I think he realizes defense is what we need and not more power forwards.
This is taking wayyyy too long....it is either b/c
1) Poile wants to troll Holmgren and invariably all of us the fans
2) Nashville is still trying to secure favorable financing which is practically an impossibility with their crappy balance sheet and today's banking woes.
3) Nashville is enriching Uranium to build a bomb to nuke Holmgren, Snider and all of Philly...
My guess is that Nashville is waiting for an ok / no go from their bankers.
No ego involved, just "is this a safe investment?"
My guess is that a couple of banks said no already.
As far as Nashville's ability to pay it back, my other guess is that given Snider has his tentacles in so many arenas across North America, that he is probably (or Lukko sic is) as aware of Nashville's financials as many of their 20? or so owners.
I believe given this that Weber will be a Flyer.
I have been wrong before though and on a daily basis in fact because I am married with a teenage daughter and a son...
According to wikipedia, Bridgestone Arena is managed by Powers Management Company, a Predators subsidiary. It is possible that Powers subcontracts a Comcast-Spectacor subsidiary for tickets or catering or something, but I don't know how to find that out.
I've accepted that we aren't getting him as a way to dampen the disappointment if we really don't.
Good luck with that. Except hitting refresh here and on the other boards 1487 times an hour and bouncing around between Hockeybuzz, TSN and various other sites and twitters all day and night (like I bet you do, like me and everyone else here) suggests otherwise

No its not taking way too long. If it didnt take this long it would have meant that they matched and game over.
