What I'm seeing is that we have a clear-cut top six prospects, according to board opinion, and then a ton of opinion.

Driedger, I guess, because WTF not.

Can we just call it a 15-way tie for 22nd place? At this point...

Guys... our 22nd best prospect could be in the top-15 of most teams, maybe even some top-10 so let's not think those guys are garbage because they are that far in OUR rankings... There is still a bunch of decent prospects left... we are far from Peltz still

And are we going to let Culek beat both Blood and Wideman? Outrage!

Finally, add Baillargeon for the 3rd time!

No?

Our 22nd prospect is almost certainly never going to play in the NHL for us, or for anyone beyond a few injury callups if he's lucky.

Unless you pick Cole Schneider, then he probably will.

Who's to say a guy like Dreidger won't push for a spot in 5 years?

Blood because of the name....and because of the attack while shaking hands with the other team.

Quick count has 10 Sens prospects having already played an NHL game. Stone and Silfverberg's were in the playoffs of course.

That is pretty impressive.

I count eleven.

Silfv, Zibby, Lehner, Stone, AP, Hoffman, JOB, Borocop, Wiercioch, Da Costa, Filatov.

I'm sorry but you can't be more wrong than that

No one has a crystal ball, things change fast in the NHL and who can say right now than our 22nd best prospect won't end up better than our 8th?

Mark Stone was ranked 24th just 2 years ago... .... ... (I think this point say well enough about this)

What if Robbie Baillargeon comes out of nowhere and end up being a good top-6 forward?

I think those kind of things have been demonstrated ad nauseum in NHL history

By the way, Brian Rafalski wasn't even drafted.

Those rankings are just an internal re-draft, BPA.

Way more interesting IMO than 95% of other threads

Last year Daugavins did not make the top 20 in the Fall top 20 list. The Sens have a lot more depth than they use to.

I'm going with Drieger too. Just based on the fact that Ottawa was willing to take him so relatively high. They liked him enough to make him only their second goalie taken since Lehner. Big goalie with good athleticism and upside.

Great that we have some legit prospects this deep. Blood, Sdao, Hamilton and McCormick all have a good chance of being players imo. Dzingel has really intriguing upside, I'll pick him next. He may end up being our biggest riser in the 2013 edition. Dunno about his hockey sense but the skill level is very high.

Add the Drunken Stag.

The only thing that shows me is that our prospect polls are terrible predictors of future results. Probably because as a collection of fans we're pretty stupid about this stuff. Also randomness.

In other words, if there isn't a discussion about the prospects involved, these are meaningless threads. (But I still vote most years, so I guess I still think they're fun enough.)
