no, still not legit. One of the few random twitter a-holes to be factually proven wrong.

Just meaning that it's appeared as a news item on their website, instead of simply on Twitter ... that's all, just posting info that I found.

If Shea Weber's agent doesn't know what's going on, a random NHL executive won't either. It's all self-serving nonsense.

The more I think about it, the more I think that the trade-back is a waste of time and clear bluffing. In what world would they rather have Mesz, Read and 2 firsts rather than a signed Shea Weber? The only reason they'd do a trade like that is if they know they're not going to match, simple as that. If they can match, they do match.

Considering the best offer Homer pur forth pre-OS was Read/Mez/1st/2 2nds

Offer Voracek instead of Read, Homer.

If Nashville doesn't want Jake then that is one thing, but to maybe not even offer him up because of calling a bluff? I like Jake, but he is a 65+ top 6 guy and Weber is a Norris caliber guy. Shea Weber takes us from playoff team to Stanley Cup contender for the next 10 years.

We are much closer to the cup with Shea Weber than Jake Voracek. This is a very high stakes game of poker right now. Give in a little. If they insist of Schenn or Couturier then you pass, but at least offer Voracek.

One guy thinks they match and everybody tries and run with it. They may very well match and I'm expecting the worst but its just people speculating so if they are right they can say "I told you so."

You guys are cracking. By this time tomorrow who knows what you'd be willing to offer.

What is pretty annoying to me is all of the talk about feeder teams and that NSH has to match to they are not perceived as small market and a feeder team. Guess what? Nashville is a small market. You are what you are, and every sport has feeder teams. Thank goodness none of these experts who are against feeder teams do not follow European soccer. 95% of the teams are feeder teams.

I doubt Holmgren would blink at the package you're suggesting, but there's also no reason to come at Nasville ready to cave before it is absolutely necessary. I am trusting the Flyers to do the right thing over the next 33 hours. They've done well in this situation thus far from all accounts.

Absolutely.

I will under no circumstances endorse trading either Schenn or Couturier, but Voracek is young enough and good enough to be the deal sweetener. I have been on the bandwaggon suggesting him since Thursday.

If Nashville says no to Voracek, then a deal can't be done obviously. However, I just hope Homer offers him and make Nashville say no. I would be ill if we lost Weber because Homer "called a bluff" and never made an offer.

Call it cracking, I call it insuring we get a Norris caliber shut down defencemen that puts us back into Stanley Cup contender status.

PS: I know I'm cracking. When it comes to Shea Weber, I'll crack.
