Visnovsky is definitely a guy I would inquire about if his trade to the Islanders gets voided.

I get the feeling Nashville wants to trade Weber to Philly, this news is Nashville upping the pressure to increase the trade pieces. I would not be shocked if they trade or don't match.

visnovsky def somebody to keep an eye on for a short term deal. semin is somebody i'd strongly consider if he's only asking 10m over 2 years. doan is the best option, but nothing over 2 years at 5-5.5 (because of new contracts)... though doan probably has an eye out for us now that we got nash i think our odds are decent. (albeit his agent said he wants pitts, no?)

i have no doubt phili gets weber. i just hope they get robbed in the process, but i'm not even worried if they do. we're stacked.

Pitts makes alot of sense for Doan too, playing with Crosby or Malkin.

Visnovsky is claiming his NTC was still in effect when he was traded.

In other words, he doesn't want to go to the Islanders.

He's claiming that his NTC was actually active at the time of the trade.

Nashville matches

Quote:
In the most important hockey transaction in franchise history, Nashville Predators Chairman Tom Cigarran, President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile and CEO Jeff Cogen announced today that the team has matched the 14-year, $110 million offer sheet between the Philadelphia Flyers and defenseman Shea Weber, insuring that the Predators' captain will remain with the franchise for the next 14 years.

My understand of the CBA is that once the No Trade is waived once, it is no longer in effect (meaning on the new team you have no NTC). Is that incorrect?

Weber was way more important to Philly than Nash was to Rangers. If this is true Mr. Snider is going to go nuts! They will over pay for Ryan now.

I believe that's correct. Depends, though, he may have had a partial NTC that he didn't get to use before the Isles/Ducks trade.
