I, for one, hope that this does not lead to Homer making a stupid trade for Ryan, or anyone else.

I'm wondering why people are saying "FU Flyers" or "FU Preds"... I don't get the animosity. People got so emotional and pissed off for really no reason. It was bound to happen if he was going to accept an offer sheet.

I bet he is happy with that deal and wouldn't be too disappointed given the money he is getting next year to stay in Nashville. Who knows, if they bring in more talent and somehow have another playoff berth, they might be able to convince him to stay.

Regardless, if he gets traded, his value is through the roof now. I don't think Homer will be able to outbid the rest of the league next season for a fully signed Weber with practically 1/4-1/5 of his total cost paid off after the first year. He will be the hottest commodity in the NHL.

Still don't see why Homer went this way, he was getting dealt to either Philly, Detroit, or the Sharks for minimal payment. Would have been better to offer Nashville the price in draft picks straight up than try to do this.

I think people here are overstating Nashville's financial issues, good for them for retaining Weber. Nice try by Homer though, hopefully he has something else up his sleeve.

El. Oh. El. at all of the people that think Weber will be pissed about this.

He signed that offer sheet knowing full well that there was a good chance Nashville would match.

Yeah can't be mad at the Predators.

I am extremely bummed, but Weber was their player and they found a way. Good for them.

Seeing the Rangers get Nash yesterday and now we get no Weber is really a crusher.

Go sign Semin

If any of that were true/possible, you'd have a great point.

Weber's agent said he did not want to be in Nashville. Looking forward to his quotes after this.

I'm getting the "FU Flyers" because Oilers and Pens trolls apparently had nothing to do for the last 3 or 4 days, but "FU Preds"... No, I don't get this.

FAAARRRRRKKKKK. Should be interesting to see if Nashville is actually going to be able to put any players around him. Also, if there's a full year lockout, see you in Quebec!
