Really? Wilson is young and improving, but what had he done to deserve $3.5-4M? That would have been outrageous. $2M is a good deal. Wilson has some rough edges to smooth out, but I think with increased ice time, he'll hit the 20-goal mark this year.

contract starts off low then goes up each year... wonder why they would do that?

I'm surprised Wilson would sign for the 3 years at only $2MM, seems like close to fair value but he could be worth much more if he breaks out this year or next.

Looks like a good deal. Will he still be an RFA at the end of it?

According to an earlier post, it appears so.

Actually now that Weber is matched this offseason isn't turning out all that terrible for Nashville. They should probably just bite the bullet and re-sign AK. They could use his offensive capabilities. Now they just have to swallow the losses of Suter and Radulov. They have a **** ton of cap room they might as well offer sheet Voracek for the hell of it.

Suter, yes.

Radulov, not at all.

Good signing for the Preds.

Good day for those fans with Weber staying and Wilson re-signing.

Great signing. If Coach Trotz actually loosens the reins on Wilson a bit then Wilson's offense will bust out and the contract will be an absolute steal for the next three years. Hopefully the guy gets a permanent top 6 spot this year.

Kostitsyn - Fisher - Erat
Wilson - Legwand - Hornqvist

Radulov played 9 regular season, and 8 playoff games last season, and hadn't played a full season for them since 2007. I'd say they've pretty much been playing without him this whole time.

I'm a big Wilson fan, but I'm a bit surprised Nashville was willing to commit 3 years to him now considering how has produced so far.

Hopefully his game ramps up next season, the guy has all the attributes to be a top-line player.
