The Islanders wil be the Oilers-East with all that Youth. Dont be surprised if the Atlantic division makes the playoffs, leaving just the other 2 division winners.

The Rangers are going to the SCF next season, mark my words.

Yeah I'm not too sold on how the Pens roster looks as of now....

But hey, look on the bright side, if we suck, there'll be less Pens-related threads here on the mainboard and less *****ing and whining.

Well at least until if/when we draft MacKinnon.

I feel the same way. I am not trying to be a hater, but I don't see where people can think Pitt will win the division again with NYR improving, Philly possibly improving, and Pitt losing more pieces than they gained (Staal being gone is huge IMO).

That's just me though

I mean even losing Staal, and Michalek the Pens are still a top team in the league

Honestly, the only team I am ever nervous of the Rangers playing against. Malkin and Crosby are just so freaking good.

If Philly doesn't get Weber, do you believe the Schenn for JVR trade makes Philly better? While losing Jagr?

They lost Parise, J. Staal, Michalek, Parenteau, Dubinsky, and Anisimov.

They gained Nash, Visnovsky, and Sutter. Still waiting to hear about Weber.

I'd say last years Atlantic Division was certainly better.

You also need to take into account player development. Tavares will be better. Same with Henrique, Larson, Kreider, Stepan, etc. Crosby will hopefully be healthy. Staal will have a full year of health, as will Okposo and Streit after missing entire seasons. These are humans, not objects in a computer program.
