Is today the biggest day in Preds Franchise history?

Preds fan since day one, poster on this board for nearly a decade, but under a different name (jeez...that's a long time).

This is the day we were not bullied. Ownership and Poile stood up and kept the best player in franchise history in a Preds uniform, and maybe for life.

This was the hump to be overcome. Congrats guys.

Yes, if Weber turns into the cap i think he can turn into without his half out the door partner Suter and if the Predators do not stop with this signing.

One of the biggest. I think the sale of the team to this ownership group has to be up there.

Biggest day is local ownership stopping the relocation of the club. This is big, but, we signed a player for $110mil in a bonus heavy, front loaded deal after he turned down or just sought more than a reported $104mil from the team (source: Brett Wilson interview).

Yeah...that was an amazing game. Still brings chills and a tear or two.

I could put it instead of 8-0 but that one is special to me, even though I didn't get to go. I got to show the Preds at their finest to my entire family.

I think this is a huge day for sure. Maybe just a step behind local owners stepping up and buying the team.

The Kariya signing was nice. Trading for Sullivan and the first game with him was good too (9-3 win I think).

Brett Wilson didn't mention structure .. just said in his interview that the team's pre-offer sheet proposal was $104mil ( $6mil below the offer .... 428k per year difference). Apparently the team was offering up some sizable money before Philly leveraged a huge bonus structure out of us.

Definitely up there, but I have to go with the ownership group taking the reigns officially. The rally was up there, too, because that was when it finally started to seem like the team was definitely staying.

It's a nice jersey. I've got one myself. I was sweating having to buy a new jersey, but planned to buy a Rinne sweater if Weber left.

Listening to Poile and Trotz the past year and a half, I think it would've been an easy decision for them. Fisher. In all honesty, I wish he were the captain now, a much better leader than Weber IMO.
