You need to have your head examined if you think Steps is going to finish with 72 points on the year. Only 9 centers in the entire league surpassed 70points last season.

Stepan has a high ceiling with the potential 1c. Why can't be brake out? he's 23 years old.

You're expecting this team to score 288 goals this upcoming season. Last year, we finished with 226.

Your expectations are a joke, and I don't think you have the slightest idea what Stepan's ceiling is if you think 72P is a realistic possibility next year.

Btw, only 4 players in the entire league finished with 52 or more Assists last season. 4. A whopping 4. Sedin, Malkin, Thornton, and Elias.

Come back down to earth and edit your expectations to something realistic in real life, instead of your gaming console.

You never know, maybe I overrate Stepan but they don't call him a Brad Richards clone for nothing, I can see him braking out..

I'm just throwing numbers down of what the each players can get, I highly doubt the team scores 288 goals, there my expectations, if you don't like them thats okay.

You can at least put some realistic effort into what you think they will get. 52 assists? 72 points?

Expectations are a bad thing when you set the bar to high.

I say they will score around 250. You take away Dubi and Anisimov and add Kreider and Nash...

But then again Gaborik will be out for a bit so maybe we will be around the same? If the PP gets going then around 250 for sure..

And I appreciate that. I just feel Stepan has high potential and he can reach that potential next season and can be a 70 point player, maybe not now, he can be close, but later on..

That's almost a PPG! 72 points is not an easy thing to accomplish. I like the kid, and think he'll be a damn good player, but more of a 2C than a bona fide #1.

Depends on how we address our other needs.

As it stands now, we are slightly better all around. We got MUCH better up front, but we gave up depth to do it.

We still need a couple more pieces before we make our big push.

Elias is one of the most underrated players of his time.

Anyway, I don't really care about individual expectations expect I want Cally to score 30, Gabby and Nash to score near 40 (or be on pace for 40 in Gabby's case) and Richie to hit 75+ points.

Brian Boyle can score 90 points and Nash can be traded back to CBJ for all I care if we somehow win the Cup.

Next few years is Cup or bust for this. First and second round exits won't cut it.

Don't usually do these types of predictions, but I'm bored, so what the ****.

These predictions assume an 82 game season, which I know looks somewhat doubtful at this point.

Centers:
Brad Richards
24 goals - 46 assists - 70 points

Derek Stepan
20 goals - 38 assists - 58 points

Brian Boyle
10 goals - 17 assists - 27 points

Jeff Halpern
5 goals - 9 assists - 14 points

JT Miller
3 goals - 2 assists - 5 points [still not sold on the fact that he'll be in the NHL this year]

Left Wing:
Rick Nash
