Chris Pronger
The teams only savior at this point.
This team on paper is worse than last year.
Sigh.

Had the Ranger and Penguin fans running for the hills, now there all talking crap again. Can't wait to beat these two scrub teams.

Chris Pronger is probably done. That is unless he becomes symptom free for several months and takes a lot of time to get into game shape. Chances are good if he ever recovers it won't be 100% and he'll miss all of next season.

Love that you went from doom and gloom in your posts to crazy internet muscles in 6 minutes. Impressive.

As much as I'd like to have a healthy Chris Pronger in our lineup, it really is a shame that he's still experiencing symptoms in his day-to-day life, let alone not being able to play hockey. It just really really sucks.

Last update was another... he's having good days and bad days. That was maybe a month ago.
Probably won't hear anything until closer to camp when he's likely required to come in for an official medical evaluation.

He has 5 years left on his contract so if he becomes symptom free like Crosby, Bergeron and so many others, yes. Time will tell, and 5 years is a long time.

I will definitely miss the guy (and hate playing against him) but it's hard to believe that his career isn't over with what he's going through.

Where would we be if he didn't get that "virus"? I seriously wonder.

You gotta think a healthy Pronger with this roster is a force to be reckoned with. It really is a shame.

That's a bit extreme. Their G and D are very good, and they have some scoring too. A lot will depend how Gaborik returns and how Nash deals with the pressure of the big city.
They will miss Dubinsky, Anisimov, Prust, Fedotenko, Mitchell, - big, fast, strong depth players who did a lot of good work for them, but they added Pyatt and Asham to compensate.
We'll see, but I doubt the Flyers are going to go 0-fer the Rags this year regardless.

the Rangers not making the playoffs? Don't you know the Rangers win the Stanley cup every year, in July

Gaborik is the Rags weak point. Without him playing well, they still lack offense, Nash notwithstanding.
As for Prongs, Philly management probably wouldn't have gone so hard after Weber if they werent quite sure Mr Pronger is finished.

Rangers will make the playoffs, but once again Lundqvist will blow it in the playoffs with his knack for giving up backbreaking goals at the worst time after standing on his head for most of the game
