Nash is on a better contract because he is better????? That makes no sense. Nash is making close to 8mil for 6 more years. He has never been a PPG player. He averages 60 points a year. He is overpaid.

Joe Pavelski is getting 60pts a year and is only paid 4mil. That is a great contract.
so your telling me if rick nash would play with Getzlaf and Perry.
he wouldn't score more than what he scored the last couple of years.
and he wouldn't get more points then what he has now?

Ryan is a popular player in Anaheim and generates lots of revenue. He will not be moved unless it's for someone with equal abilities and likeability.

Meant to say Put in Pavs for Clowe.

Only Ryan wasn't playing with Getzlaf and Perry. Nash would probably add a few points but not much. How many times do you see a player increase his point totals when they switch teams?

Ryan
Lydman
Ducks' 2013 2nd

Franzen
Tatar
Pulkkinen
White
2013 1st
2014 1st

Close? Terrible? I think it's pretty good value for both teams...

Wings get a young top 6 RH goalscoring winger with size (exactly what we need), a stay at home responsible D in lydman, and a mid 2nd rounder.

Ducks actually upgrade overall IMO - they get a veteran top 6 goalscorer to offset the loss of Ryan, a great young NHL ready prospect who can play in the top 6 in Tatar, a long term goalscoring project in Pulkkinen, a good PMD in White, and finally, 2 mid-late first round picks.

this is a good deal for both teams IMO

No center in that bunch but I can't see how the Ducks would say no...

Of course you think it's a good deal for Anaheim, despite not addressing any of there needs.

Of course you do.

Don't need Franzen, not a fan of Pulkkinen, no room for White, and i have no idea where those picks are gonna land. I would pass rather easily on this deal.

Switch Franzen for Filppula? Does that work? (you'd need confirmation that Fil will sign an extension, I'm sure)

What do you realistically want from Ottawa?

There is no realistic deal with Ottawa. You guys don't have the 2C we need, and so it would take a big overpayment of other parts. Which you guys wouldn't want to do.

Filppula signed
Smith
Abdelkader
1st

I would think about it, it's not ideal and rather not trade with the Wings but the value is there.

Realistically, we want Zibenajad, Greening and 2013 1st, as we have discussed a lot of times before. Some fans agree and some fans do not. We have to count on Zibenajad being ready to make the jump to the NHL and for Koivu to hold down the 2C fort until Holland or Mika take over.

Smith is a top 15 D prospect..I'd rather not trade him. if you can switch that with something else..fine..but wings really need D and trading smith without getting d in return makes us lose the trade.

His production would diminish, actually. Seeing as he'd be stuck on the 2nd unit PP.

Well a proven 2nd line winger 28 or younger making 4 mil or less.

Just curious from a Wild fan's perspective:

Devin Setoguchi + Charlie Coyle + 2013 1st Round

for

Bobby Ryan
