STH: Select-A-Seat

...works pretty good.

Didn't think I would have any real promising options, as I heard they were just about sold out, but got a good alternative and jumped at it.

I moved from the blue line to the red line, on the opposite side of the arena, just above the press box. Section 318.

I am paying a little less than twice as much as where I was.

Interesting note: the center ice logo is apparently changing, from the crown to the home plate logo.

I can't believe they're already doing this, making ice in about a month too.

I could get used to these short off-seasons.

blue line to red line nearly doubled the price? Holy cow...

I kept my same seats - no better alternatives in my area.

Anyone trying to get 2 tickets in section 322? There are 6 seats in row 4, but they are not consecutive. If someone is willing to buy row 5 seat 5 and row 5 seat 7, then ask the person sitting in seat 6 to simply move over, it will open up the rest of those seats for 4 more people.

There were a couple of other factors for switching (personal reasons):

1. Wanted to get on the same side of the arena where the cameras are, so when I review the games later plays are more recognizable to me.

2. Wanted to get off the aisle and more to the middle so I don't have to keep getting up out of my seat so other patrons can return with their beers and spill them on me and my co-seater.

The downside to being off the aisle is now I am going to be the one pissing off others when I need to leave to take a leak.

Getting more in the center was not much of a factor, being that high up...its all the same, but ironically those were the two few seats actually available at the time.
