Yeah Helene is pretty tough on the eyes.

And why the **** does she get to be on the DVD when Lombardi is missing?

I love Google's image search.

If you type in "Helene Elliot" here are some of the images that come up:

I think it was because Dean broke his voicebox during all of the celebrating. He didn't speak at the rally either, and I was bitterly disappointed when he couldn't.

Just finished watching the main feature and can't wait to dig into the special features. It's so awesome to finally have a championship BD. I still can't believe it!

The top 10 was annoying because they mixed in regular season stuff with playoff stuff. I'd rather see Carter's goal in the Finals game 2.

Content wise is was more of clip show than I would have wanted, but still so much fun to relive those moments. I wish they spent more time interviewing the team instead of people like Matthew Perry, lol. It seemed like Jamie Kompon had the most screen time which was awkward. The coolest part for me was a line but Williams at the end saying that he doesn't expect the team to be the same next year, but they will always have this win as a bond between them. As you know, barring a trade, the team will be the same.

The picture and audio could have been better, but I'm honestly just happy to have this. There are also lot of special features.

"Clip Show" is a perfect description. It's great clips since, you know, it is the Kings winning the Cup, but I felt I'd seen better or equal in the fan made clip videos.

It's still awesome because it is the Kings and everything, it just leaves you wanting more because it is quite obvious they are sitting on a ton of great material. I watched all of the games on tv and was at all of the home games...give us a lot more of what we didn't see on tv already.

I will say it was nice to see a quick clip from a different angle of Brown's huge hit on Clarkson near the end of Game 6. That little rivalry did not get enough publicity but they were really going after each other. Brown celebrated in front of the Devils bench to stick it to Clarkson on Carter's 1st in Game 6 and then buried him when it was already 4-1. Completely owned him.

Wow, it's like they beat everyone they interviewed with a big ol' ugly stick, mussed up their hair, gave them ghoulish lighting, then stuck a mic and camera in their face. Everyone looked terrible (especially Helene). And this is LA? Come on.

Aside from that, the disc is pretty good. Hit on most of the high points of the entire playoffs, and being able to relive that is justification enough for the twenty bucks. The extras is just gravy.

That bothered me as well and I have no idea why they lit the interviews like that. Helene looked like E.T. when he put on the blonde wig.

Hopefully whatever the Kings wind up putting together is an improvement in that regard.

At the appearance at Dick's in El Segundo, he was clean shaven with bright blond hair.

Of course Best Buy will have them...

I'm surprised that Helene's ugly mug didn't crack the laser on the DVD drive...

It pains me tremendously to say it, but I give the DVD a solid "D" grade.

* In a time when the access granted to the teams and players in "NHL 36" is such that it is, there is NO reason this DVD shouldn't be at least as good as that. Is the NHL too cheap to commit a camera crew to each team for the duration of their playoff run? Possibly.

* If you saw the games, then you've seen the DVD, for the most part. Mainly just game footage. Considering what it could have been, the only reason I didn't give it an "F" is a lot of the footage had Nick Nickson as the soundtrack and I hadn't heard a lot of that before.

* They did an OK job hitting the storyline in the first series with the Brown hit on Sedin. They completely missed the storyline of the St. Louis series with the King hit on Pietrangelo (and his defense of the hit in the next game). They showed the Brown hit on Rozsival in the third round but totally ignored the little ***** that was Mike Smith in the end of that series, which was a big storyline since the guy basically imploded. Their coverage of the Finals was ok, though.

* The "Wireless" stuff could have been really good, but a lot of it was unintelligible.

* The inclusion (although I have not watched it yet) of the entire 5 minute Game 6 power play on the Bernier hit is a cool idea.

Really the best thing about it is the post-Game 6 locker room celebration.

Am I glad I got it? Yep, but to be honest, it really doesn't allow me to clear my DVR of all but the 4 series-winning games. It's just nowhere near what it could have been. The lack of pre-, intermission- and post-game footage is a HUGE missed opportunity and would have made the DVD really worthwhile, IMO.
