Good point. As a fan, I would still like to see Weidman vs Rashad if Anderson isn't ready but the UFC probably wouldn't do it.

Toquino is out against Okami at UFC 150. Every fight I've been stoked for has gone to **** this summer. Hes been replaced by Buddy Roberts...that sound you hear is Okami's knees cheering.

Really? I didn't see Palhares having much luck against Okami

How long is he out for?

Youve pretty much taken him right out of the picture.

How long would it take for all those matchups to happen?

A year?

And then after that the fighters have to recover etc. That takes Boetsch right out of the picture, when he is probably the most deserving out of anyone with the possible exception of Weidman. I cant see anyone being too excited about another Belfort/Silva fight considering what happened the last time.

Me neither but you'd have to think that Palhares ability to rip legs off was in the back of Okami's mind. He now has a chance to make a bigger statement if he dominates Roberts.

So it sounds like Mir is off to Strikeforce to fight Cormier. Didn't see this coming, so I really like it.

Hopefully the UFC doing stuff like this will allow them to bring over the Strikeforce top guys sooner. Sending name guys over there for a fight might be enough for Showtime to do it.

I didn't take Boetsch out of the picture, I'm not the one who broke his foot.

Bisping/Stann is happening in September and Belfort/Belcher is in October. Those fights are already confirmed so nothing for Boetsch there.

Dana White said Franklin/Le will be in November on the China card (if it happens).

Who knows if they'll even make the Munoz/Lombard fight but even if they don't, Boetsch already beat Lombard and they probably wouldn't give him a guy coming off of a loss (Munoz).

So even if Boetsch is healthy and ready to go, who would you have him fight? Let him get his ass kicked by Weidman and go to the back of the line?

Nice, that means no Tim Sylvia.

Well that certainly worked out better than expected. There were a couple of names flaoting around that would've been ok, but at least with this you're giving the champion a top 5 or so guy, which is what should happen. Might get a little tricky if Mir wins, but if Cormier does it's perfect (and my guess is he will).

He deserves a #1 contender match.

At least.

They must have paid Mir a boatload of cash to fight in Strikeforce.

Just to clear things up, Boetsch didn't break his foot he just has bone spurs in it. No idea what his timetable to return is, but it sounds better than a break.

As for Belcher/Belfort, does anyone honestly think that fight will even happen? Both guys are as injury-prone as it gets.

Yeah, I was fine with the Sylvia fight since I thought there were no other options. This is much better.

I hope Belfort/Belcher happens because it has a chance to be one of the better fights of the year.

Yeah that's an awesome card.

At least as of today, until everyone gets hurt.

It's pretty solid until someone gets hurt.

Hate to repeat myself, but like I said you might as well not even include Belcher/Belfort on that card because one of them is getting hurt before then. I'll predict Okami gets a win coming up and then jumps into this fight on short notice when there's an injury.

Could we see a Sonnen/Rashad fight in the near future? Rashad tweeted this pic to Chael:

Could be just the two of them joking around though.
