I think those old of us to remember the intense North Stars/Blackhawks rivalry would prefer the Minnesota/Chicago match-up anyways.

I would love to see Minnesota and Winnipeg play in an outdoor classic. As already stated in the thread however, NBC would want a big market team to play the Wild. Chicago would be a good fit for me.

Perhaps soldier field which is why they are doing the Gophs/Badgers & Notre Dame/Miami doubleheader there this year.

I'd rather it be in Minnesota, and it could be as Chicago already had one in Chicago, which I could have gone to but I didn't want to spend that much on a ticket to see a team I hate the most (Detroit) play a team I dislike (Chicago).

The NHL had already told Leipold that Minnesota would get one as soon as they had stars (they REALLY do now) and if they make the playoffs.

Which means, they should get the next one most likely.

The Wild always are up there with the teams that get the top number of national TV games anyway, now it will likely be more so because let's be honest...the biggest story of this new season (assuming there is one) IS going to be the new look Wild, so all the publicity is there.

I think it will be Chicago, it would only be Dallas if they wanted a big Southern Market.

Either case, I just hope Minnesota's are throwback Stars jerseys, the Fighting Saints or something ridiculous like the St. Paul Ice Polo sweaters.

-- Also, clearly for going to a game any hardcore fan would rather see Wild/Jets, but for the casual no-nothing TV audience, they'd prefer Chicago.

Not until we're a consistent playoff caliber team.

I know we are going to get an MLB Allstar Game in 2014 at Target Field so why not have 2 ASG in the same year.

Chicago would be fun I think. Especially if its our first year in the same division.

We'll hear a lot of boos at both locations this coming season when said player for each gets the puck!

Who knows... Devil's fans might even boo Suter too since they hate Zach and they love to comment on those two being BFF's so much...

Why would Lambeau Field in Green Bay have anything to do with a Winter Classic in Minnesota?!?!?! Wisconsin doesn't even have an NHL team to get a Winter Classic at Lambeau.

To me not a question of if obviously but when. To me the question is TCF or Target Field, Chicago or anyone else? I still lean Target Field and very likely Chicago when we do get it.

Welp, I am closer to Chicago than Minnesota for the foreseeable future.. So no skin off my nuts either way. But I would prefer to have a Winter Classic at Target Field either way.

A Winter Classic involving these two teams would cause a spike in traffic along I-94/90 either way.
