Russia's World Champion Ring.

This is what you get when you win the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship for Russia. A ring with gold, diamonds, 26 rubies (for the 26th world title), enamel and sapphires.

Pretty nice looking.

It is nice. I know the Czechs got the rings too in 2010 (http://hokej.cz/index.php?view=clanek&lng=CZ&id=48694). I wonder if it's common everywhere to do this and if so, since when.

I can't recall Sweden doing them. I think it's a nice touch, way better than cash bonuses even if one doesn't necessarily preclude the other. Although the gold medals could be seen as enough individual hardware.

indeed very sharp! I know Hockey Canada issues them, as I see a few former players on television broadcasts make a point of wearing them during the WHC, but never really took a close look at one to see how they were designed, if they are as bold as SC rings or the ones designed by the Russian Ice hockey Federation.
