It's a story because Shaw needs to be at least 190 lbs of lean muscle to play the way he needs to remain in this league... and though he plays a different style completely, Kruger needs to as well.
I understand it's a need but for me I just expect guys that age to fill out and add a little muscle weight. It's just a natural progression for most young professional athletes. Because I was expecting it I just didn't see it as a "story" if that make any sense. Whatever the case, glad to hear of the physical maturation. Hopefully it pays off a bit short and long term. It should.
Body type and metabolism has alot to do with adding weight. If you get too top heavy, it isnt good for the back as potential for back problems as you get older. Better to have strong legs. Shaw plays much bigger than what his weight would suggest.
