Booth- 6 years $4.25M

Callahan- 3 years $4.275m
Dubinsky- 4 years $4.2m
Fisher- 5 years $4.2m
Ladd- 5 years $4.4m
Versteeg- 4 years $4.4m
Voracek is definitely not better than the bolded.

I'd say JVR is the best comparison.

Hopefully Voracek got a full NTC or he might be next to leave the Flyers

well, you're the expert. I guess we should be expecting to see you as a GM in the nHL within hte next few years

Predictable HF behaviour, for sure.

Good deal for Philly. Most people here obviously haven't seen much of Voracek because he is one big, fast, talented individual. The kid has the talent and skating ability of a superstar; if he can improve his shot he'll score 30 and add 40+ assists with increased ice-time on Philly.

Not a bad deal by any means. He's 22 and is looking to break out.

hey flyers fans, nobody here is bringing up the topic of offer sheets except you guys, but continue playing the part of jesus being crucified if it makes you feel better.

good deal for philly. really think voracek is going to have a breakout season this year (assuming there's hockey this year...)

I know, but is 1 year of UFA worth over 4mil? I tought he'll get contract similar (cap hit wise) to the one Duchene got. With this contract he's paid more than Erik Johnson, who also got one year off his UFA status with his new contract. Don't get me wrong I like Voracek, but this is a bit too much, on the other hand it probably won't hurt Philly.

Duchene's contract is great though, I'll give you that. That said, he has an RFA contract left... let's see what he gets on that one. I am thinking a good amount more than Voracek, assuming the same CBA.
Yes it takes him to UFA, but it buys only one of his UFA years, years which are by deaufalt worth much more than RFA ones.

Not the best deal, but one that had to be done. Just have to wait and see what random thing Homer has in store for us next.

Hes awsome, only Flyer that compares to Giroux in creativity. If he gets 1st pp time and plays with Giroux he can easily get 20g70points

Glad to see Voracek signed to a new contract, always liked him even when he was on Columbus. I was expecting it to be under the 4m range, but its seems that Philly is somewhat paying for potential which could end up being a steal

I like that they signed him for 4 yrs but don't like the $ part. When you look at what a better (or just as good at worst) player like Perron is getting for similar term then you wonder why he gets 4 M+. Normally you wouldn't care about him getting $3 M or $4.25 M but the Flyers have other young guys who are gonna need raises within the next couple yrs so the contracts need to be more on the bargain side even with the $ leaving their books. If we're assuming that he's being paid that amt because of potential to hit 60 pts with Giroux then we're basing that off of an assumption? Especially for an RFA who often are bargains and it doesn't buy contract yrs. Flyers needed to be a bit more frugal with this one.

Love Voracek. Should be a stud this year should he be on G's wing.

Appearntly they did. After your GM acted like a ****** and completely failed ppl realized it's not worth offer-sheeting someone when he's just gonna get matched. No need to look like a fool and piss someone of at the same time.

Everybody knew Weber was gonna get matched, well anyone except Holmgren...

I don't like the deal for the simply reason that the deal takes Voracek right to UFA status (under current CBA). A 2-3 year deal would have been better because at the end of it he would still be an RFA.

He is dynamic player but he was just as dynamic with Columbus as he is with Philly. Don't think he IS worth the contract now but Philly probably pay for potential and in 2-3 times he could be worth it or more

I'm probably more surprise at the length than at the dollar figure. Philly should have bought out more years of UFA with that per year amount. Its like Philly pay for his potential yet once he realizes his potential, the team would have to pay him even more. This contract clearly favors Voracek, IMO

I think this is Philly getting scared of retaliation offer sheet from...say Nashville. They don't want to wait and end up paying more

Cool story bro. How's Weber and Kesler working out for you?

Your GM is awful at offer-sheeting. If you're gonna do it you gotta overpay by ALOT in order to obtain that player since he's most likely a superstar with alot of value to the other teams organization. community etc. No point in sending offer-sheets if you're willing to up the ante.

Considering there has been like 4-5 offer sheets and only one has sent the player packing, I'd say its pretty hard pronounce the "right way of doing an offer sheet".

O and Clarke sent that offer sheet not homer.
