I'll join the Hackett crowd in the next poll, if this poll keeps going Johan's way.

Well it's still would be Hackett for me because I feel he's a little underrated as a prospect here, but my #5 behind Hackett is Larsson, so no issues with him getting the vote here.

I don't think he's underrated, I just think he plays a position of less value.

The reason I can't rate him above Granlund, Brodin, Coyle, Larsson and Dumba is the same reason I would NEVER take a goaltender in the first round of the draft.

Any one of our prospects ranked #5-11 would be 2-5ish in a ton of other team's pools.

I'm sorry, but not meaning to start a debate here the MOST VALUABLE position in hockey is goaltending, he's the only one in the game who can alter or drastically affect it's outcome on a game to game basis.

Don't confuse VALUE with IMPORTANCE.

Value - something that is hard to come by in other ways carries more value.
Importance - you need performance at said position to do well as a team.

Goaltending has importance, but no value.

The gap between the elite goaltenders and decent goaltenders is a LOT smaller than it used to be... and decent goaltending can be found in so many different ways these days, dropping the overall value of the position as a whole.

High quality skaters at both forward and defense carry FAR more value as a result.

Larsson has the edge over Zucker for me. Zucker probably next round. I don't feel comfortable voting goalies this early so Hackett is quite low in my books.
And it would seem Cuma has lost his only supporter

Larsson for me. I think this kid has the physical tools (not big but strong) and talent to anchor an excellent NHL 3rd Line for a long time. A guy who will have a positive or near positive +/- playing against one of the other team's scoring lines, plus chip in 10-15 gaols a year.

Even though I think he could play effectively in the NHL right now, there's no rush, let him mature and gain experience in the AHL for a while first.

Coyle at 3, and Phillips not close to being on the map yet, wached them about 35 times, can tell you Phillips is underrated in Minny land. By Xmas after playing in Houston for a couple of months as most of our young prospects belong to mature,,you will see what I mean .
At the ed of the day, we should be thrilled with our prosect pool depth.
Also big Larsson fan here !

clutterbuck wasn't supposed to make the team the year he made it either...made it impossible to send him back out of camp. he didn't have the competition but still.

True...but the talent level of the roster then is much different than it is now. Assuming everyone is healthy to start the season, who's spot does Bulmer take if he makes the opening day roster?

the number of one ways makes it tough, too, I know. especially all our #7 defensemen. If he's good enough, though, it can happen. I have faith. As to who does he replace...I don't want to go all negative on people, some of whom I haven't seen play under Yeo yet.

I think people mistake others being high on non-Bulmer prospects as them being low on Bulmer.

I'm so high on Bulmer that I think he'll spend the year in Houston. With proper development he can be a Burrows-plus caliber player, but that means he needs to stay away from the NHL for a while yet.
