Yeah, just looked at his player history again.

I'm an idiot.

In that case, I think it's an excellent deal for the team.

Remember way back, when everyone (well at least me) thought Hartnell was getting paid a lot of money?!

Just wait for his extension! If Hartnell gets over 35 again, it is going to be pricey.

if the Flyers wanted to trade an RFA, they would just do it and let his new team worry about negotiating a contract with him

I don't mind the cap hit for the projected increase in Jake's production. Playing with Giroux and top line minutes will be great for him. Only thing that concerns me is that both of them are pass first. Hopefully Giroux will start shooting more with Jake instead of looking for the perfect pass. The length is great and this contract will be a bargain in two years time even with the proposed salary rollbacks.

Well Timmy P just found out about the signing 17 minutes ago. That kind of response time would have been impressive 25 years ago.

Excellent. In the range I was expecting, so I'm pleased.

I read somewhere, mabybe HB that Doan was offered a 2 year deal with NYR. If thats true and the situation in Phoenix does not get better, I thnk he goes to the big apple.

I really think the Flyers forward corps should be built around G, Hartnell, Simmonds, Vor, Couts and Schenn. Briere will leave or retire probably after next summer.

I insist on keeping Hartnell and SImmonds because they come close to fitting the power forward role. The others do not.

With a lot of money sunk into it and one guy who is adept at moving the puck. Maybe 2 now (hoping). What do you have?!

How did this guy not get the " offer sheet of revenge"? Love Jakub, but i hope he can improve on his shooting ability. If he had an above avg shot he would be Hossa esque.

Very Happy !

Now go after Doan or Semin and say no to Ryan, unless asking price is Read plus picks.

The Ginger line could be a puck possesion nightmare to play against

Fax machine machine must have been out of paper, cause according to main board all our RFA's will leave and every team will send offers. We go lucky

Glad we signed him instead of panic shopping him after the Weber deal fell through.
