I am sure he is thinking that this is not in the next 2 yrs, more like 3-4 yrs. That would make players like Petry, Schultz, Klefbom, Hall, Eberle, RNH, and Dubi that vets at about age 23-25 yrs of age.

I don't see Pitlick translating to a centreman, he plays better on the wing.
Martindale unless he picks it up will not make it to the NHL.
I see Smid on the team for sure, Gernat is a long shot.
Rieder had a good year in the CHL, but I still see him as a long shot.

Is it at all possible though unlikely that Teubert could turn into a Robyn Regher type D-Man?

I know.. wishful thinking but oh if we could be so lucky.

Just seem like similar types of players.

I've been going through each NHL team and reviewing the progress their OHL prospects made this past season. Also included is an outlook for next year.

It's Edmonton's turn.

Very nice write up. Are you thinking about doing any of the other divisions.

Helsinki Jokerit resumed their on-ice training after the summer break/individual training period on Monday, Frans Tuohimaa was there as well. In case it hasn't been mentioned here, he's on twitter and posting in English: http://twitter.com/FransTuohimaa

Thats neat that its in English. Samu Perhonen is on but you'll need to be bilingual...https://twitter.com/SamuPerhonen

He's a project. He has all the physical tools. Size, speed, athleticism, reflexes. But, he doesn't have the toolbox yet. He's lacking on the technical side of goaltending and doesn't have a great mental game.

He had a rough year last season playing only 16 games in some subpar leagues.

At this point, I think it's safe to say it'll be a pleasant surprise if he develops into an NHL goalie, but I definitely wouldn't bet on it.

Hey guys, Ranger fan here. We're doing a kind of a keeper league on the Ranger board, and I picked the Oilers. Well, I might have several questions, but my first is...Would you guys draft Yakupov 1st overall again? Yes, I know it's too early to tell, but just based on now.
Thanks!

Most definitely, it's who most of us wanted, it's never a good idea to pass up on dynamic skill like Nail's to fill a team need.

Awesome, hopefully it's the start of a great season for him and Jokerit.

Found a few tweets here today that some of you will find interesting:

Ryan Dittrick ‏@ryandittrick Martin Marincin has really immersed himself in the #Oilers program. Spent all summer training with Simon Bennett & Steve Serdachny.

"I've been here all summer working on and off the ice with the Oilers. It's really helping me work towards the NHL." - Martin Marincin

"It's been one of the best summers for my training. I'm excited to take this next step on my way to becoming an NHL goalie." - Tyler Bunz

Real good to hear on Marincin, his lack of work last year had me worrying a bit.

Sounds promising. Marincin definitely has the potential to play a top 2 role if he's determined enough.

Jokerit won 3-2. So that's two starts for Frans, two wins.

Nice to see Marincin really working hard this off season, lets hope it really shows and he plays a major role in OKC and starts to turn some heads. Would be really nice if he turned in to a legit numbeer 2 or 3 dman. Next on the list will be Gernet to take a big step with his defensive play.

I for one will be watching some Oil King games this year.
