Now we need terms so new lineups can be speculated upon via capgeek.

I'm guessing somewhere around $1.25 and $1.5M per year. Really good bottom pairing guy who can play on the 2nd pair in a pinch and isn't out of place on the 2nd PP.

I was hoping for $1M tops, but with the way signings are going this season, you're likely closer.

Good deal. Hopefully he is our 3rd pair right defenseman this year. He was really good for us in the playoffs and was fairly consistent all year.

Good news.
Bring in one more right-handed Vet and we've got two stop-gaps until McIlrath is ready for a regular shift on the right side

Like this signing. Not a liability on defense and provides offense and can work the 2nd PP unit. Good #5 defensemen My guess is around 1.1-1.2 million. That's a solid 200K raise.

DZ is going to be a while.
He doesn't have any arb rights and Sather is always stingy on his second contract when the player is not arb eligible.

Anyone fear for an offersheet? I can see a team like Edmonton offer sheeting DZ.

Offer sheets really aren't common place. A lot of GM's aren't ballsy enough because they don't want to get on anyone's bad side and fear later repercussions.
I think I remember reading recently there's only been like 6 over sheets over the last number of years (I don't remember the exact numbers) but I don't think it should be an issue.

Oh man bring it on! If Edmonton offer sheeted Del Zotto, Sather might throw a revenge party. Edmonton is going to have some pretty nice RFA's coming up in the next few years.

Not really. I think he's pretty happy on NYR, I don't see why he'd leave at this point with them reaching the ECF and then adding Nash. Aside from his agreement, it'd take a huge overpayment for Sather not to match. I think the Weber situation has everyone a little on edge about offer sheets, but they're generally pretty rare.
