Saw that Nashville might be going after Doan. That would be an excellent fit and a nice coup for that franchise after losing Suter.

He does seem like a Nashville-type player, but if the rumors are true, Doan is asking for way too much money.

Edit: Just saw that Semin signed in Carolina. Awesome!

Probably something similar, Tlusty might be in the top 6 over Ruutu and Faulk could crack the top D pair. Not a bad looking team though if Faulk continues to progress and Skinner is back to 2010 form.

Yeah, on paper you have to figure they should be the favorites in the Southeast, for sure.

NHL Network question......I just switched from Comcast to DirectTV. The service I got doesn't include the NHL Network as part of the package...however, when I purchase Centre Ice, will I get NHL Network with that?

Who knew that after last year the Canes and Wild would be one of the most exciting head to head matchups.

I know if you had Dish Network... the answer would be yes. Not sure about Direct TV.

I just saw this on the Direct TV website:

Quote:
With NHL® CENTER ICE®, you get up to 40 out-of-market games a week, most of them available in ice-clear High-Def.* From the first face-off to the final seconds of the season’s last game, you’ll be right there with your favorite team. Plus you also get the NHL Network™ at no additional charge. Talk about a winning streak. ...
I guess that answers my question.....good news.

TSN's Who's Better poll is pretty funny. Hall beat Stamkos and Eberle is currently beating Crosby.

Yeah, ahh, the question was, "Who would you rather have?" not "Who do you have?"

It's almost as bad as Habs fans and the ASG in 2009.

So does Ryan Jones live here or something?

his last tweet had him getting a tattoo before "going back to Minnesota"
he even said "minnesota" instead of minny.

that's strange...he was here for the Hobey award banquet and a few camps but he never really had reason to spend much time here that I can think of. School in Ohio. Weird. and his parents, too? did he marry a local?

i honestly don't know. my brain is remembering a back and forth that he had last summer when he was tweeting about where he was. an edmonton fan gave him grief and he responded that his parents live here or something.

he only really spends a month here, based on what i remember.

...and here is where he trains...
