I also get the feeling that one of Coyle, Larsson, Zucker, Bulmer makes the Wild out of camp and Fletcher is forced to make a move to accomodate them on the roster.

So for now im gonna take the easy route and not attempt to guess at Aeros lines

I wouldn't say they were the best... But definitely one of the best.

No way Larsson is centering the 3rd line in Houston. He has progressed so much this last year so to bump him to the third line (even if they are playing quite even minutes) isn't right IMHO.

Zucker - Larsson - Fontaine
Foucault - Phillips - Coyle
Broda - Rau - Bulmer
Palmieri - Dowell - Palmer

Brodin - Kampfer
Cuma - Connelly
Genoway - Bagnall / Medvec /Lorenz
Jobke

Hackett
Kuemper

I could also see Bulmer on the 1st line instead of Fontaine, but how he started last year I guess this is how Aeros could possibly start the season. It's pretty exciting season we have ahead of us, both of our teams are pretty strong on paper and I hope the prospects can translate their play to AHL / NHL well.

I'm excited for the Solar Bears to be back, I've been an ECHL season ticket holder here for 2 years (and went to 20 games in the first season driving down from Detroit over 90 in total including away games -- trips to Kzoo and Johnstown), so it will be interesting to see what they do in the league.

I post on their facebook boards occasionally because not a lot of people know a ton about Minnesota/Houston and their prospects, and honestly, I wonder who will end up down there. The E isn't a great league for European talent unless it's goalies, you rarely see them. I may get the America One package though so I can watch the Walleye and the Solar Bears this season though, minor league hockey for me is the most fun to go to. I love the NHL but the "team" feeling isn't the same as it is at that low of a level.

Orlando has made three signings so far. Their first is a point per game player who I saw play for Reading last year before he took off for Alaska, and then they tried to go big, though apparently neither of those guys are good fighters, and Toledo has the Boogaard of the league in former Wild draft pick Riley Emmerson (he's a bad ass) and if they keep most of their guys will be rather tough, old time Toledo Hockey style.

Need to start at number 5 and work down to 1. And yes, welcome to the droll of the off-season.

That would be an insult to Shades.

Would grow a lot more if they had an NHL franchise there.

I nominate Dallas to move to Houston and become the NHL Aeros and send the North Stars history and colors back to Minnesota so they can be properly laid to rest (PLEASE NOTE, I am not advocating the Wild to rebrand itself as the North Stars in this post in any way, shape, or form), and for the Dallas Stars colors and history to be put on a bus to Mexico and never mentioned again. After all, they never actually won the Cup. Hull was in the crease.

Why would a brand new owner who has dedicated himself to the area (and has no ties to Houston) up and move a successful franchise for another locale in Texas?

Well, he's not really giant like people try to play him off as, he's incredibly slim. He's not a fighter, he has no a physical presence at all. He's an ok defenseman. He was FINALLY getting into a groove last year and then was injured and was never the same after that.

He's decent for the E, but take it from someone who has gone to over 90+ Walleye games, he's not anything special, but it is hilarious to watch him skate around with his tongue out like Jordan.

Any time he "focuses" that's what he does.

They could certainly do worse, there are guys on Toledo now, that many would like to see go over our (now former) favorite tall French Canuck.

It does seem the Solar Bears are trying to build a basketball team instead of a hockey team though.

out of Jobke and Caron, is Jobke the only one that can get sent back for his overage season in juniors

if that is so, maybe Caron makes it as the extra D with Houston
