Could somebody ask 97.1 The Fan who Andy Murray is? Because they keep announcing the CBJ signed him on the updates.

Great. Just what Columbus needs, another guy who chokes on the biggest stage.

This reminds me, and maybe I missed discussion of said in the Nash thread, but when they said they were going to the Howson presser, they started having audio problems -- pauses in the feed but picking up right where they left off. Took me a few of those to figure out they had no actual presence at the presser, but were also attempting to broadcast it via the CBJ web site.

That's classic.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

They mentioned having trouble downloading the podcast. Probably didn't have enough real interest to drive over to Nationwide. smdh

It was all part of Howson's master plan. He was waiting for the Penn State news to hit before announcing the trade knowing the local media outlets would be distracted thus easing the heat on him.

You guys will love Ryan Murray once he starts seeing actual game action. Trust me.

Great to see the kid signed, now let's see him compete for a spot.

At least he didn't wait until Ohio State-Michigan week.

This is good news. I am not sure if he will make the team this year, but it is always nice to get the top draft picks signed.

I'm just wondering if we actually need him this year. With our top two lines set, would it be better to let him stew in the juniors one more year (is he AHL eligible?) and let Moore and Savard fight it out for the #6 spot? I just think we have so many D at this point and plenty of them in Springfield to call up for injuries...

If he is better than everyone else then we need him. If not then it's back to Juniors.

Best 2 of Moore, Murray, Savard, Erixon.

True, my bet is on Murray and Erixon even though I've never seen them play... I wish Moore was better but he has a long way to go to be a regular in the NHL imo, as for Savard, not sure about him, I need to focus on him more in the future.
