I would too.

And like I said before, Ryan will probably just come to Philly in a few years anyways once his contract is up

Jagr about this signing on facebook:

Vážení občané!
Chceme Vám něco oznámit a zároveň požádat o pomoc.

My fellow citizens!
We have an announcement to make and we also want to ask you for your help. 2 days ago, in Philly there was a robbery of about 17 million dollars! In case you have any information, don't hesitate to contact the police. The thief is still escaping. Last time he has been spotted in Montreal and apparently he also had a confederate. The thief is about 188 cm tall, weighs 90 kg and has red hair. His confederate is older and more handsome - with smaller belly but with an accent. Thanks for your help!
Czech police chief, Jarda Jágr

RT @dshoalts Shane Doan wants $30-million over four years if he leaves Phoenix Coyotes, source says. That will scare off more than Detroit

Can't see anyone paying Doan that money. Looks like he's staying in PHX.

He's worth 19 for 3 years not a penny more or a second longer. I'd rather trade for a bad contract in Boyle than give Doan that much. Boyle is everything Carle is plus a good shot minus some of the horrible brain farts.

I'd give him 16.5 on a 3 year deal at max.

13 on a 2 year deal though.

Media reports aren't always true. We'll discuss his salary when he signs, as for now, it's only speculation.

Ohhh, so the contract offer he got was actually what he wants, and not what he was offered.

I know this guy bring allot more than points, but he is only a 55 point forward at this point in time.

So all other qualities of a player disappear except for statistics during the offseason?

I don't see what your point is, but that last sentence is a huge contradiction to Doan's value.

If we sign doan to anything more than a 1 year 4.5 mill dollar deal Ill be disappointed. Seems like we should have just kept jagr.

You don't pay 7.5 million dollars a season for intangibles

My buddy said something similar about Drury when he got his big deal. "He needs to intangible the puck into the net 35 or 40 times for that much money."
