All word there was seemed to indicate that Boston would rather go forward with their current core, including Krejci. I'm split on that proposal. I think it's very good value-wise, probably even overpayment. But I'm not sure it makes us better this year.

I would much prefer that one to the other supposed proposal though (in all likelyhood it's "rumour" tweets by kids/idiots with too much spare time).
I remember getting into it with him over something a while back, maybe a debate over who was a better prospect, Jeff Woywitka or Corey Perry? Can't remember, it was pretty stupid, though.
The same big boys who are now breaking a Krejci for Ryan trade
Personally I dont take stock into any of these rumors. Its always my source here or my source there. All crap. The only legitimate things that have come out point to Ryan staying in Anaheim.
This is how you do it, Justtheducks:
ESPN.COM: James Murphy reports the Boston Bruins and Anaheim Ducks had “exploratory talks” regarding Ducks winger Bobby Ryan, but a source claims Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli doesn’t want to part with David Krejci or Milan Lucic. The same source also said the Bruins have dropped out of the Rick Nash sweepstakes.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Chiarelli seems reluctant to significantly shake up a roster which is only one year removed from winning the Stanley Cup. Can’t say I blame him.
You can't trust anybody but the TSN guys, Stephens, LeBrun and Friedman. There are so many of these frauds out there now.
That's not really true. There's many trustworthy beat writers for teams out there, of which most are pretty reliable when it comes to their teams. They aren't the "entertaining" guys that focus on rumors, though, so not everybody finds them.

No, young winger. Had a decent year with the Bruins apparently. Hard worker, reliable defensively, not entirely inept offensively but limited upside, if I remember what I heard about him correctly.
EDIT: That said, I really wouldn't put any stock into it before I see it from a reputable source.

Of course there are many legit writers for other teams. But yeah, they don't report on NHL-wide news, which is what the big media outlets do cover.
With Boston, as I've said before, I'd rather just wait it out. They're really not in a favorable situation when it comes to the cap, $65 million committed(excluding Savard, who would be headed for the LTIR) and guys due up next year they need to re-sign(Seguin, Lucic, Marchand, Horton). If they can deal TT, it becomes somewhat of a different story, but if they intend to keep those 4, the $18 million or so they would have(what all 4 make combined now+TT) might not be enough to get it done. And that's assuming the cap only drops to $65 million. Obviously rollbacks and other things could happen, but my money's on them having to make a move once the CBA is signed.
Yes, sources for the win. But, that article is 9 days old and doesn't seem to address what justtheducks is claiming.
So justtheducks, can you please cite something so I know whether or not to get excited?
Same source that knew about the trade that brought Cogs here and Pronger being traded. They were first to know. I cant leak my source but I can tell you they are a legit source.
They told me a deal was on the table for Ryan from Boston and that it included Krejci, a pick and a prospect. This was on Tuesday morning.
Now others are posting that the deal is off. My source has not heard a thing since Tuesday and that is that.

I hope you are right. Because it would mean we are paying no attention to Read+Meszaros+Laughton. That offer is garbage. At least a Bruins offer around Krejci is good value, although Im more inclined to believe an ESPN hockey insider than someone you tell me is legit, no offense. Guess we will have to wait and find out.
