It's been wonderful for VMing, and the battery life is so much better than what I had before. I am a fan.

Wonderful timing for Microsoft to release the Office 2013 preview, too. It's pretty nice!
Nice. I have a C840 laptop at home. It was free. 0.75 gb of ram, 1.2 Ghz processor.

Disposable income, plz.

Of the 95% women - half of them are approaching retirement. Still interested?

Even a fastfood drive thru has a line.

Just look at how crazy Mighty Taco was for the first month when they opened here.

It was stupid lines.

Sounds like my office, where the median age is like 45.

Hell, there was someone who just celebrated 25 years with the company. I've been alive 27.

My wife is soooooo sick of all the ladies where she works.

She can't wait for the day when she just gets to work with these two guys in another lab so work becomes drama-free.

I would think that most people should be, since half of them will be leaving soon, likely to be replaced with younger women.

Just a thought.

And we do have some attractive younger girls too. All recently married, but ironically, all going through divorces.

(another reason for tears in my office all the time...)

Yep. I use my PS3. Look in the Playstation store for the app. Works really well.

I think it works on the XBox as well, but I didn't look.

This is fantastic. I'm 34, single, no kids. I'm a recently divorced woman's perfect rebound!!

Because I'm too lazy to go back and quote ppl.

RE: The West Wing

Love, love, love, love that show. Rewatched it a couple years ago and still loved it. It was probably the first show that was mandatory viewing for me every week (back in the days before DVR and on-demand...when if you wanted to watch it later you had to use this thing called the VCR and have this thing called a VHS tape for you young'uns), and I almost became a poly sci major in undergrad because of it--though I'm still fascinated by the inner workings of politics and how the system is designed, how it works, etc.

RE: Office with 95% retirement age women

Cougars need love too.

Co-worker this afternoon tried to tell me that carb-loading doesn't do anything, and increased glycogen storage is a myth.

It's a good thing that he knows better than 50+ years of science on the subject.

Welllllll, science isn't always right. Remember how they used to teach in schools how eating breakfast was key to losing weight, because it boosted your metabolism? Yeah, that was a load of rubbish. Technically eating food of any kind at any time "boosts" your metabolism, does that mean you should always eat to lose weight? Of course not.

I'm not saying I don't agree with carb-loading, but things can be "proved" in a study, preached as being "science" and then later be found to be false.

Personally, I think carbo-loading needlessly complicates an otherwise simple process. If you want to lose weight, take your recommend daily caloric intake, consume 500 less than that. Simple and effective.

Well, we were talking about carb loading in the context of athletic endurance.

The idea is to maximize the amount of glycogen stored in the body tissues to provide as much fuel as possible for long periods of athletic activity. The science behind that is pretty well established and researched.
