Perhaps. But I bet they are on the ice together with an empty net behind them.

Nash-Richards-Gaborik should be our top line if they click and can score close to, or at a goal a game rate.

Besides those mentioned:
Ottawa: Alfie/Spezza/Michalek
Edmonton: Hall/RNH/Eberle
Detroit: Datsyuk/Zetts/Franzen (I know, they don't play together all the time).
You could see All Star lines in Boston, Colorado and maybe Minny too before long.

As I said earlier, it's a line of heroes... Kreiderman-Bradman and the Nash

This line has a lot of potential. 2 All-Stars and a rookie with the most promising I've seen in a while (for a rookie)

I would throw Nash on the first line with Richie to start the year while Gaborik is recovering. Kreider-Richards-Nash would be sweet. When Gabby comes back, I hope to see:

Kreider-Richards-Gaborik
Nash-Stepan-Callahan

I think those lines allow both Kreider and Stepan to put up big numbers.

The funniest thing on a forum for a team that is coached by Tortorella is the line combination threads. Like there's any point to them. If you're going to talk about the Nash-Richards-Gabby line, you might as well talk about the Stepan-Richards-Pyatt line that you'll see in just as many games if not more. Or the Nash-Boyle-Callahan line that will have people wondering, "Is... Boyle... on the Nash line?!?!"

Torts keeps lines together when they're working. He changes things up when he feels he has to, but as long as his lines keep producing, he will keep them together, like he did for a long time with the pack line and the Feds-Boyle-Prust line.

Any rookies expected to make it this year? Is Miller ready? I'd prefer if Boyle or Pyatt were playing on the 4th line and one of Asham/Rupp was in the press box. We're in trouble if they both play 75+ games. I suspect another signing is on the way.
Nash might be listed as RW but is a natural LW, thats his favourite position but he will play both.
Just don't try him at C.

I would say spread out the talent over 2 lines but they can do it if they want too

Also the PP will have all 3 no doubt in my mind

Btw every teams fanbase thinks that all the other teams have stable set lines and that their coach changes up too much.

That was the thought with the last coach, it will be with the next coach as well.

Czech line 2.0, good times.

Anyone remember the original Czech line? Hlavac-Nedved-Dvorak
I remember that Czech line clearly, was my favourite trio and still is to date. A shame they only had 1 season together, Hlavac and Dvorak's career best seasons were playing with Nedved on that line.

It was an amazing line

Personally I think this makes the most sense. Matchup nightmare for the opposition.

But as we all know with Torts ya never know.

I remember. And I remember being mystified when Hlavac bounced around the league afterwards because I thought he was a top shelf forward.

In reality, that was a bunch of 2nd/3rd liners who had great chemistry.

I think we might see something like this when Gabby returns:

Hagelin - Richards - Nash
Kreider - Stepan - Gaborik
???? (Pyatt/Miller/Jean/ new acquisition) - Boyle - Callahan
Rupp - Halpern - Asham

A lineup like this would make a lot of sense if we could put together a great 3rd line to play off against the other teams number one unit with Boyle, Callahan and a 3rd undiscovered key piece to put this together. Will most likely bring down Callys stats a bit - but probably also benefit the team in the long run in other ways as our top two lines should then be able to provide ample offence and the 4th line can goon it up 5-10 minutes a game. I am betting on seeing a serious progression from sophomore Carl Hagelin this year and doubt he is outside a top 6 spot if/when the season gets started.

^ I agree. I don't see much chemistry with Callahan & Stepan. I would not put them together.

Nash--Richards--Callahan
Kreider--Stepan--Gaborik
Hagelin--Miller--Pyatt
Asham--Boyle--Rupp

It probably won't happen because they brought Halpern in but I'd love to see Miller get that 3rd C spot later in the year.

I think we'll see Hagelin and Callahan bounce back and forth in the lineup. Giving Cally reduced minutes at even strength is going to prolong his career. With the kind of game he plays, he's going to have a short shelf life.

If Jean continues to develop the way he's been, he may get a recall.

It's perplexing watching Kreider play and have the spotlight be on Jean

Hlavac and Dvorak were 2nd liners (for some parts of their career you could make the argument they were 3rd liners), Nedved a 1st liner. Pretty much was all about the chemistry too, Hlavac and Dvorak never even came close to producing like they did that year with Nedved. Definitely not the Rangers best 1st line, but it was without a doubt probably the best 1st line they had in terms of chemistry. The three Czechs just clicked when they were together. They were one of the few lines that stayed together almost throughout the whole season.

I would love to see Nash, Richards, and Gaborik on a line. I wouldn't expect them to stick all season long, but you got to put them together at some point. You have three superstar players, you should use it to your advantage. And then you still have good secondary scoring with: Stepan, Kreider, Callahan and Hagelin. Regardless of what Tort does, the Rangers will do great.
Just so many possibilities.
