How the hell did it take this long when he agreed to such a crap deal? I assumed it would've been either bigger money or a one-way in the end. Feaster's really squeezing the young guys.

Or Irving just wanted to make sure the Flames will let him play in the NHL
As Calculon pointed out earlier, if he plays less than 22 games this year I think he becomes a UFA after this season. I hope Feaster knows what he's doing, we can't afford to lose him. Personally I would of rather seen him signed to a 3 year deal.
I hope he loses the back up job this year and we finally send him packing. He wasnt good enough to be the goalie for the AHL team in the playoff i dont eant him on the big club waste of a player

Are you talking about Irving or Karlsson? Please be talking about Karlsson..

That makes two of us. Feaster better play him 23 games.
Wow good signing...he must be taking the backup position.
Just heard Kerr interview him on the Fan. Even though its a 2-way deal he would need to clear waivers before he is assigned to the Heat due to his age. Surely the Flames won't risk losing him on waivers. Providing there's hockey next year, he's basically the backup or else he will be claimed for certain if he's assigned to the Heat. To me this all but tells me Karlsson is gone. I expect the Flames to keep both heading into training camp to showcase Henrik, then my guess is they will either attempt to trade him first or else waive him.
So if he gets five minutes at the end of a game, is that considered a game played?
I have no idea, but that would be my guess. Either way, the Flames will either need to stick to a schedule playing Irving 23 games no matter what, or else extend before July 1st of nest year.
I want to see him play the games, it would be nice to know what we have in him.
WTF is the point if the 2way deal he is waiver eligible he won't be sent down, I think Feaster may have shot himself in the foot in future contract discussions.
