Training Camp tryout players?

As I look @ the Roster, I dont see any defenseman and only one forward I would trust to bring up during injury.

What journeyman would you like to bring in to see if they will play on a 2way deal for depth?

Jurcina, Kubina on D. Maybe Langkow or Huselius upfront, I don't think Arnott will go into training camp unsigned.

I actually feel flush and kinda nauseous. Literally, and as soon as I saw that name.

And I'm not kidding, whatsoever.

Note: it also could be the tuna melt and superfluous serving of sour cream and onion chips.

Would rather be forced to watch Alone in the Dark on repeat than have Cam Barker on this team.

One of the worst defenseman the NHL has seen in a long time.

All would be pretty good options as tryouts. I'm not sure I see any of them making the team though.

Has that ever stopped him from trying out before?

I think it would really be contingent on the status of some of our guys. If Sauer is looking like he'll be ready soon, then there's no need. If not, sign which ever guy looks better. If Miller has a horrible camp, maybe one a Langkow/Hecht type will be signed for depth.

Gilbert Brule. The Rangers had interest in Brule on re-entry waivers but he was claimed by Phoenix. He had his moments with PHX playing with Kyle Chipchura. Brule had a big QO and wasn't qualified.

I actually think this kid has lots of talent and think that he could be successful somewhere, but I am not sure that he will fit into Torts's system.

Big player that can play in a bottom-6 role. I think he could become a solid player here - I like him in the bottom 6 more so than either of Rupp or Asham.

Tyler Arnason?

Maybe they let Eminger tryout again, see how his fitness is.

His name actually popped into my head as well. Could be a solid 3rd liner. Seems like everywhere he goes, teams are hoping he'll put it together and be the player he was thought to be. Just let him be an energy guy who can create some offense and bang bodies.

I'd happily take a flier on Brule. It would be somewhat surprising to me though if he wasn't offered an SPC by someone before camp starts.

How about Trent Hunter? He's now a full season removed from the knee surgery. If he's healthy and skating well, he'd look good on our bottom six. Two-way game, can chip in 30 or so points.

I always really liked his game. Was frequently one of the pIsles' lone bright spots. He'd be an excellent bottom six contributor.
