25 and under players who would make an impact

Based on an article on bleacher report:

Offense

First line: van Riemsdyk - Kadri - Kessel

Second line: Ashton - Colborne - Frattin

Third line: Biggs - McKegg - Ross

Fourth line: Veteran Role Players

Defense

First line: Rielly - Franson

Second line: Blacker - Gardiner

Third line: Percy - Finn

Extra Defenseman: Holzer

Goaltending

1A: James Reimer

1B: Ben Scrivens

What I would do:

JVR-Kadri-Kessel

Biggs-Colborne-Frattin

Ashton-McKegg-Ross

Veteran Role Players

Rielly-Gardiner

Franson-Holzer

Blacker-Percey

Extra: Finn

Reimer
Scrivens

Obviously not everyone on this team would make it and there would be a lot of trades. Also there would be more veterans. But this is based on what we have and only considers players under 25. I have to admit that we have great depth with lots of young players. I really hope they make a huge splash in the future.

I sort of want to see Kadri-Colborne-Kessel in the first line but JVR would be a better option in the end as winger and Kadri as their centre. This would also depend on Colborne improving being more consistent.

I thought Scrivens was 26? Anyway, looking at the team in this light is kind of refreshing. I like the prospect pool Burke built up, despite the fact I really wish we had a really high-end, blue-chip forward prospect. I also see Kadri being a winger in the future... and one I would really like to see on a line with Colborne.

I can appreciate some of the articles on Bleacher. There was one about how Burke should hold steady and focus on clearing room for players like Colborne, Kadri, Holzer etc. I'm inclined to agree. Probably be the same guy.

I'd like a future line of:

_____-_____-Kessel
JVR-Colborne-Frattin
Biggs-Kadri-Ross

But we absolutely need a 1st line center in our fold.

Looks like a nice offense, especially with how strong our D will be.

There's a fair amount of size, skill and truculence on the 2nd and 3rd line.

Hahaha

To be honest, I am subscribed to the Bleacher Report Newsletter. Their writers are garbage and I never read any of their articles but their newsletters have links to articles from different sites eg. nhl.com, yahoo, espn, tsn, sportnets, the star, the sun, globeandmail, nationalpost, etc, etc. It works for me since I wouldn't even know of some of the articles if not for it.

Scrivens is still 25 and I think Kadri can play Centre.

Oh, I didn't know Gunnarsson was 25. He would definitely play then. Replace Franson with Gunnarsson.

Ya, good call. No Kulemin either? Maybe it has something to do with when they turn 26. Also, I have way more faith in D'Amgio than I do in Ashton. Bleacher Report lol

Why is this a thread?

Seriously; every idea you have is not worth a thread. Get a life.
