Okposo, rw + movie critic

Nice to know that if this hockey career doesn't pan out, Okposo can move on to a 2nd career as a movie critic.

OT: the Colorado shooting victims have my sympathy and prayers.

I read a few seasons ago, that he's also a big Harry Potter fan.

I guess it could be worse....he could be a big Twilight fan.

After he was drafted and still at Minnesota he added me a couple friends (who also post on HF) to his facebook account (not sure if he has it anymore) around Halloween time and his facebook pic was him as either Luigi or Mario-can't remember which one lol.

Wait, since when is it uncool to like Harry Potter?

Oh I almost forgot, obligatory MAYBE IF HE FOCUSED MORE ON HOCKEY INSTEAD OF POP CULTURE HE'D BE BETTER!!

I had a hard time opening the pic, what was his groom's cake supposed to look like?

BTW congrats to Kyle on his wedding today, saw Grabs tweeting photos from the limo.

And yes, he should stick to hockey, Roger Ebert's not going to be calling KO anytime soon....

Are Potter fans cool? I realize from watching news clips that many are diehards, camping out until midnight for the latest release.

I'm a big George R.R. Martin fan, but can't see myself waiting hours on line for his latest book. Maybe if his last few books were as well written, as his earlier books.

Have to confess that I haven't read Martin's books but I've loved the HBO adaptation. Are the next couple of books disappointing? No spoilers please.

It looks like a cake made into a ring with "lord of the ring" style writing on the inside.

The first 2 books in his Song Of Ice and Fire series, were very good. The 3rd and 4th ones weren't nearly as good. I haven't even bothered with book #5. There are 2 more books scheduled to be written in the series.
It's taken him between 5/6 yrs to write each of these books.

I've been disappointed that after taking so long to write them, that the last few books haven't been better.

Writing speed is going to increase now that the series is underway. Its too plot crowded in the later books.

If they did a prequel I would have Mike Milbury play the Mad King.

He's too soft, he should be listening to Pantera before a game, not Kids Bop 23.

I don't know what your talking about, I'm 23 and Harry Potter played a huge part of our time growing up. So I don't think it is weird at all that he is a Harry Potter fan. If he was older than mid 20s I would agree with you.

It's cool.

So, have you finished up turning your parent's basement into the Griffindor headquarters yet?

i hate the books/movies, but, the first book was published in 97, and the 1st movie came out in 2001, making Okie 9 when the 1st book came out. I still think things i read as a kid were awesome, they just never made movies about them.
