It will be done for this upcoming season. Next summer is the bridges, Budweiser Fan Deck, new scoreboard, and new lobby which is called the Chase Square IIRC.

Will the MSG get a new goalhorn, too?
The current one sounds really boring (in TV)

Is there an overview what they are going to change overall? Will they get a .. mhh.. how do I call that.. "LCD-ring" in the whole arena on the upper rings?
Now they are just over both ends .. I mean these ones here at the end of the arena:

(sorry for this awful English btw )

The horn and goal song are classics. They will not change.

The renderings don't seem to show that they will have the LCD rings. Perhaps they will add that in the future.

Never! Lots of fans will be furious if they ever took away our song.

Does anyone know if they are doing anything to the Blue seats (the remaining 400 level seats on 8th avenue end)?

when you watch the video, it just looks like they are covered with a tarp and whatever sections remain will be left as is. I thought I read about changing the pitch/angle in those sections as well though?

There will be seats in the 400s right under the West Balcony. They will be sections 413-420 (renumbered to correspond with the 200's below it). The pitch will not change, I just think they're stripping the seats and such and putting in new seats and making it look nice.

But what they should do and others have mentioned it here, is take down that concrete wall in front of row A and make it glass like the west balcony...that would end the behind the net obstructions.

I doubt they change the horn, since it leads into the goal song perfectly. If they change the horn, they have to change the beginning of the goal song.

Thats the dumbest thing I ever heard....they change the song I might murder someone. Everyone in the NHL unanimously agrees we have the best goal horn/song in the league. Would be the dumbest thing in the world to ever even consider changing it.

When did I say to change it? I'm saying that none of them are getting changed.

So, just keep cool, i've been watching NHL for 2 years now and was just wondering that the goal HORN sounds that old. Didn't know that this is some classic thing ;-)

I've been watching the Rangers in many games last seasons and just noted that there are renovations at MSG.

It is old, they have been using the same one for 20+ years I think The song was introduced after 1994, and they merged the two into one recording since. It probably won't be changed.

Since the Rangers will have a rebuilt rink and this being the start of the Rick Nash era in NY I believe it's time to start to break from the past.

I hope the Rangers move to a new goal song this year.

That would not go over well with everyone, me included.

That's pretty much not happening.
