What are good sites to buy jerseys from?

Hey guys,

Iíll be buying Jordanís Canes jersey at some point and was wondering what jersey sites are good to buy from since I donít live near Raleigh.

Iíve used a few in the past (River City Sports, Sports K, Cool Hockey) for my non-Pens jerseys.

Some other recommendations are always nice.

Iím not one who likes that cheap heat pressed look.

When I lived in Pittsburgh I got my Pens jerseys from a local shop that did the customizing. Best jerseys I have ever owned. I highly recommend the House O Hockey for anyone looking to get Sutterís Pens jersey.

River City has been the best to deal with for me in the past.

Avoid ordering off NHL.com if you want to stay away from the heat pressed ones. I made that mistake with a Brind'Amour one from there a couple years back.

Pretty much this for me, too. I've also been pleased with IceJerseys, but I really prefer River City Sports.

Been there done that one Kovalev jerseys came from NHL.com and the name plate started coming off after the first time it was washed.

After that I will not buy another jersey like that.

Ice Jerseys has some great IIHF and Vintage stuff that's always worth looking in to. If they bring back the white New England Whalers jerseys I'm planning on getting one eventually.

While we're on the topic, what experiences have people had with mailing blank jerseys to one of these sites to have a name and number stitched on? Got a blank away jersey I got off Craigslist that I've been meaning to have stitched.

I'm trying to remember the name of the place but there's somewhere in NY that the Canes ship their jerseys off to get stitched. Really high quality stuff when I've gone through them before.

Only thing I ever get from NHL.com is the player t-shirts anyway.

If you ever get another Pens jersey go on ebay and look up the House O Hockey's store on there. The guy who does them did two of my Jordan jerseys and I've been very pleased with them. If I get a James Neal jersey it'll come from there.

The one jersey I got from there I've had for 6 years and it still looks as good now as it did the day I got it.

Will do. I may need one for my next trip to the Burgh.

Are you going to be able to go to any of the Checkers or Canes games? I live in Gastonia pretty much, and I usually have tickets.

I've never gone to a Checkers games may have to one of these days.

I'm hoping to get to a game or two either in Raleigh or in Columbus.

Ah the Burgh I sure miss not living there.

One of these days I'll have to make a trip back home.

Where do we get the best Chinese jerseys. I'm not shelling out $190 for replicas.

It's this site: http://exclusivepro.com/

They used to sell you the jersey and customize it all for $115; that was the way to go. Now the only option they have is sending them your jersey and for $60 they'll stitch it up for you. Same place the Eye sends it to for less $$.

As far as jerseys from Hong Kong... I think those threads got snuffed out on the main boards several times.

Yep that's the one, and yep, they aren't licensed by the league so their sale is considered illegal activity. HF's not going to walk that legal line.

Exclusive Pro does some fantastic work - here's my Ward jersey they did. Again, under their new policy you'd have to buy a blank jersey and send it to them.

and my wife's Skinner jersey:

EP did the 10th anniversary and All-Star patches as well. I also sent my Pens Fleury jersey to get the cheap heat pressing removed and get stitching on it instead:

Again, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I think in the future we may just buy blank jerseys and send them in - at least that's my plan for when I finally get a third jersey and figure out who from the '10-'11 team who is still on the team to have put on the jersey. I had planned on Sutter, but that's out.
