Bandy is being looked at during the 2014 games and is trying to be included in 2018 is what I believe I read.

Not sure about including cricket in the olympics. I'm more of a purist and see T20 as more of a fun 'hit and giggle' version of the game. Real cricket (test cricket) already seems to be dying somewhat of a slow death and I wouldn't like to see T20 glorified to the extent that it becomes more important than test cricket. It would be pretty cool to see in the games but I would hate for Australia to start taking it more seriously than the real version.

Slamball and Bossaball should be in the Olympics!

I was under the impression that sevens would be in for 2016. Seems to be a little less physical making it more realistic to complete in the two week time frame.

Also, I heard rumors futbol (soccer) may be on its way out. I have a hard time being ok with trampolining and race walking being in, but baseball and rugby being left out.

Sevens is coming in 2016 you are correct. Sevens doesn't even require two weeks, they'll be able to finish it in a few days.

Having real Rugby in that two week period simply isn't feasible.

Yeah I totally get that union wouldn't make sense. I'm just happy they'll have it at all with sevens.

Auto-Racing.

It's one of the world's most popular sports. I can name superstar drivers from a lot of countries.

Have them run formula cars similar to F1, and have each country construct the cars using brands from those countries.

Such is my suggestion.
Have to keep in mind that the Summer games are very expensive to host and adding extra costs to constructing or refurbishing venues is extremely costly.

That's probably one of the reasons baseball/software got dropped. Lot of money for infrastracture for only 2 events.

Too few competitive teams

Basically just US, Cuba, South Korea, and Japan for baseball

Softball was basically just US, Japan, and Australia

Don't know why so many people are saying baseball and softball. I think they were pretty justified in removing them from the games and it hasn't been long enough for things to change. Maybe they'll be back 20 years from now but not after just one games.
