Who would have thunk that if he would have stayed, it would have been possible to meet up against a Semin Hurricane in the playoffs? Nobody. If Semin would have gotten on that dotted line just a few days earlier, I would imagine that Parise would have stayed in New Jersey.

Hey, he's a college boy. He's basically exploding at the seams. Give 'em a break.

Start on that page. ^ It's kind of scattered here and there (keeping skimming the posts) and clearly, many Rangers fans were pulling for us.
Nice read

Been skimming through the thread myself a bit... funny, after they signed - on page 20, we find out how little they know about the upper-midwest. Claiming that both Chicago and Detroit are closer to Wisconsin than Minnesota?

Last I checked, the twin cities metro area includes portions of Wisconsin.

I think they were going off of Madison as location, not all of Wisconsin.

Which it may be closer mileage-wise to Chicago (and maybe Detroit if you take a straight flight or something), but culturally the Twin cities are much more similar.

Neg on the Detroit point. Just a quick "as the crow flies" estimate on a map puts MSP a little shy of 100 miles closer than Detroit. Amusingly enough, MSP to Madison is about the same straight line distance as Chicago to Detroit.

If not, does anyone know where I could watch it?

What the hell. I thought we were getting a 27-year-old player. Can we still get a refund?

I turned 28 a few weeks ago, but I am not earning $95 million over the next 13 years.... I think I need to talk to my agent.

Thus begs the age old question. . . .

Would you trade your child for $98 million?

That might be a more appropriate question for JP, although he could partake in both....

I was perusing the Bolts board the other day and saw they had an Orlando Solar Bears thread. I looked through it and apparently when the Wild announced their partnership/affiliation/whatever with Orlando(where Disney World or Disney Land or whatever is), there were a bunch of "Minny and Mickey together" type of marketing stuff going on.

On one hand, I was like, "You mother ****ers." But on the other, I was like, "You mother ****ers, that's pretty clever..."
