I'm here. Haven't been able to get on in a while due to some complications, but I'll be active now. Didn't have much to check anyway since I knew my team was going nowhere!

Why thank you sir. I can't take all the credit though, my bottom 6 is killing it.

Game 3: San Jose 2 - 1 Calgary
Game 4: San Jose 3 - 2 Calgary (OT)

Tanguay scores three assists in the 3-1 series lead over his old team. His linemate on the second line Selanne has 3 goals and second pairing defenseman Markov has 4 assists. The Sharks bring two potent 5-man units and it's the second one that's the difference in this series so far.

Ducks Road Wins Even Series

Los Angeles, CA What can only be described as an intense and heated series the Ducks and Kings are delivering the type of competition that everyone was hoping for. The Kings came out flying taking their winning streak on the road and were able to catch Anaheim off guard in the first two games. After giving up 10 goals in the first two games Anaheim found themselves trailing in the series 2-0 and heading on the road in order to keep their cup dreams alive. The series has quickly taken a turn however and Ryan Miller finding his form seems to be a big reason because of it. He has only allowed 1 goal in the past two games and has quickly put the Ducks in a position to come home with a tied series.

Anaheim's first line does deserve a lot of credit as well. Bobby Ryan is leading the playoffs with 5 goals and Michalek seems to have fit right in with a goal and 5 assists. Getzlaf has also maintained his form posting 5 points himself. The top line has been playing very good defensive hockey as well holding L.A.'s top line to only 2 goals in the last four games.

The Ducks are showing weakness in certain areas. The second line of Foligno, Oshie, and Steen which was so impressive during the regular season seem to have entered an ice cold streak. The linemates have been held scoreless over the last 4 games and have 15 penalty minutes. While the team as a whole has taken way too many penalties already wracking up 51 PIMS, the main perpetrator has to be T.J. Oshie who during the season was explosive scoring 33 times. In the playoffs he has only recorded an assist and has been put in the sin bin for 9 minutes already. If the Ducks hope to move on they will have to get better production from this line and take fewer penalties.

L.A.'s bottom two lines seem to have really found some form. Combined the two lines have netted 7 of the eleven Kings' goals. Of those seven the fourth line of Trevor Lewis, Colin Fraser, and Blake Geoffrion has amazingly scored three of them and only taken 5 penalty minutes. If L.A.'s top line is able to find their form it could spell trouble for Anaheim considering the production of their working lines.

Across the rest of the league the Eastern Conference looks to be pretty locked up as Pittsburgh, Boston, and Toronto all hold 3-1 series leads and will be heading home to try and move on to the second round. Montreal also seems to be in a comfortable position to try and close their series because even though they will be heading back to Washington that have been winning with comfortable margins.

The West as expected has been very exciting. Even though Detroit and San Jose both have 3-1 series leads, Phoenix and Calgary have made each game very competitive. San Jose will also have to travel to the great north in their next game so neither series seems like it will be easily closed out in the next game. What may be considered the other most intriguing series is what is now going to be heading back to Nashville. The Thrashers and Blackhawks have evened out the series at two apiece after four very hard fought matches. Each team has shown the ability to win on the road and feels like a series that is gearing itself up to go the distance. We'll be watching the Ducks and Kings as they take the short trip across county lines to Anaheim tomorrow in what has now become a best of 3 series.

I was so happy to see the seedings: my divisional rivals have to face each other! Anaheim vs. L.A.

If L.A. wins the series then they play conference giants Detroit, again helping my squad get a bit easier road to the conference finals.

I am very interested in the tied 4/5 series. I pegged Nashville early in the year as a top contender and if Chicago upsets them, that would help San Jose, especially if LA plays Detroit, because then it'd mean a Blackhawks-Sharks series.

If Anaheim beats L.A., then one of the newest Sharks Teemu Selanne will play against his old team, as will Visnovsky! THAT would be interesting!

So incredibly frustrated with my series against Pit. My big guns aren't scoring (NHL 12 is definitely realistic then ) and there were 2 games that went to overtime that I could have had. I was very disappointed with my turnout this round.

Please oh please tell me that game 5 in the OTT-TOR series is a typo? Am I really still alive as the 3-2 series projection suggests?

As expected, the top two teams advanced quickly. RKY, my condolences on your elimination. It's unfortunate for you that you were tasked with facing the Penguins. Most teams would have little chance against them.

The Red Wings are eagerly awaiting their second round match-up.

Phew. Thanks.

Congratulations to Phoenix, New York and Washington on good seasons, and to Detroit, Pittsburgh and especially Montreal with the upset for moving on to round two.
