one would hope the only first round pick is #1

not sure Wellwood should be on the list, probably in the NHL next year, possibly Bourdon(if healthy) or Gus

Laughton. I also agree with taking wellwood mab and gus off the list. Their more considered rookies than prospects if that makes sense

Schenn
Wellwood
Gustafsson
Bourdon
Sestito
Zolnierczyk

All these names are still technically "prospects" per HF regulations, but I wouldn't consider any of them really prospects. As someone else said, they're more like rookies.

Rinaldo and Couturier have graduated per HF.

Would've gotten uglier if Nashville didn't match the offer sheet.

Can we define how we're ranking these please, in the first thread this year? Last year it seemed torn between "highest ceiling" and "who will make the NHL quickest"

Laughton looks to be a good one. Wellwood has a good potential too.

I'm going to vote Nick Cousins because Chris Pryor said he was.

Not sure if you mean best prospect for this season or just overall future. Laughton is probably overall future. Idk if he will help this season at all. But thats who i voted for.

I voted on who will make the biggest impact this season or maybe next. I still think Brandon Manning is a diamond in the rough. I could be wrong, but everything I've seen and heard about this guy points to him being a very productive NHL player SOON. I think he is going to be better then and Gus and MAB.

I hate comments like this. We have prospects that fit the need of the club very well.

We have

Schenn
Couturier
Schenn
Read
Wellwood
MAB
Manning
Gustaffson

All playing on the big club now or at some point. Our Franchise player is 24 years young. Surrounded with a 22 year old first line winger.

We don't need blue chip prospects. We need guys that are going to fill out the roster while being on ELC's and cheap contracts. Exactly what we have.

We have a stud in Laughton, we have another guy that looks clearly set for the NHL in Cousins. Not to mention a possible 5-6 D in Laurdison.

Yes, we don't have 5-6 blue-chip guys. But that bodes so well for teams like the islanders/clb.........

Agreed, you didnt even count Simmonds or Voracek as younger guys who are years away from their prime.

I voted Hovinen, but that is just because the more I read about him and see of him the more excited I get. I think the real #1 is probably Laughton though, at least for now.
