Can any team name 10?

Roman Hamrlik was our number 1 dman for 2 years when Markov was injured, and he excelled in that position. His loss is the biggest reason why the team went from 8th and 6th in the EC to 15th.

Michael Cammalleri was considered a 1st line forward when he signed. He oscillated between 1st and 2nd line in his time here.

Brian Gionta and Erik Cole are 2nd line forwards on most teams. Jarsolav Spacek was a 2nd pairing D when we signed him.

On most teams Cole is a first line winger. The only RWs significantly better than him are the stars of that position.


I know Habs fans are inured to think that they are poorly suited to get free agents but since the lockout not many teams have added significantly more impact players that way than Montreal. They don't stack up to the Rangers or Flyers there but they've gotten their fair share or more out of UFAs since 07. Big market team that usually makes the playoffs does have advantages.
