One of our most important penalty killers, gone. Heartbreaking.

Big blow. Not just because he was a good PK guy and third line energy player. But because against the Devils this season, he was one of our most productive guys. He finished with a goal and four assists in the season series and was capable of adding offense. Man. This series couldn't have started any worse. I doubt Jagr plays tomorrow.

This is really disapointing and disheartening.

Imagine how Ward feels. After the Rangers gave him a second chance when Montreal gave up on him he busts his *** off the entire season, reaches the playoffs, and in his very first shift injures himself. What a bad break.

Damn, I feel bad for Ward. Hes worked so hard this season, terrible way to go out..hopefully we'll make it to round 2 and he will be back.

this is what happens when your team stays relatively healthy for the majority of the season.

Well this stinks. Ward was one of the Rangers I was really looking forward to seeing battle in the playoffs with his size and hustle.

Don't worry Ward has proven himself and I'll be suprised and pissed off if the rangers let him go during the offseason. He's a brilliant example of how you can reinvent your game if your play from juniors don't translate to the Nhl.

Tremendous worker, we'll miss you during the playoff Jason!

Wow that's horrible, poor guy a mcl sprain can't feel to great.....here's to hoping he gets better quick and can still be a lockeroom presence.

On a side note it's funny to see everyone's dissapointment as when he was signed everyone wasn't too happy with the idea.

To be honest I wasn't that crazy about the signing but he is signed for another year. He's had a good season for us. Very good on the pk and the most productive offensive player on the third and fourth lines at least if you don't include Prucha. Losing players to injury in the playoffs is as bad as losing games. Pretty soon you have no bench and half an AHL team playing. Hopefully Jagr is not all that badly hurt. As for the Devils losing White for any length of time will catch up to them too.

And without knowing how Ward was going work out this past season, I'd still be against the signing. Hindsight is 20/20.
